hello.I just read your aforementioned letter to webmd and it was like i was reading my own story. I too have pain from a level 5 to sometimes a 10 throughout my whole left side beginning in Nov 2011. I spent 4 days on cardiac care unit and 5 days med unit. They did many scans and test and a full brain MRI. Four lesions where identified in my frontal lobe. I went to the VA hospital in Cleveland with a copy of my MRI. After several tests for reflexes ( i too have hyperextensive reflexes) and numbness in left leg accompanied by a feeling representing shin splints, and an almost mild electrical current surging throughout my left side. They took numerous tubes of blood and did the spinal tap which showed a lesion and paraband in the sample. From day one my right side felt perfectly normal until now....The VA nuerologist seemed baffled because since i didnt show lapses in the "episodes" he did not feel as thou it was MS. Other docs seem to disagree. To date the pain radiates throughout my body 24/7 at a level of 4 to 5 except for my arms and legs those are 6-9 on a daily basis. I have recently had yet another MRI of my brain to see the difference in a yrs time(?) took more blood now to wait till I see the nuerologist in mid july. I too am now experiencing bouts of incontinence, been diagnosed with RLS and given roprinoprole which i take .15mg at night and it does help but not with the radiating pain in both arms...the roprinoprole brings the pain level of 9 at night to about a 5....I had above perfect vision all my life in one yrs time im on my 3rd set of glasses and losing my ability to focus. I have migraines more often than few. Sexual dysfunction and radical irregular periods...only 3 in yr. I also am finding the inability to control my body temp as I have never sweat a day in my life but began last month but extremely minimal. As a Army nurse in the past i have always taken a deep interest in keeping myself very healthy but now it seems like i spend more time resting than active. Please keep me abreast to any info you may get. I am presently on 3600 mg of neurotin also. Hope you find your answers.View Thread
