im not sure what to do about the goop. but my cat had kittens and they got fleas and you really cant put medicine on them but you can put baby oil on them and it will suffocate the fleas and the fleas will die and after you put it on them wait a minute and comb them. once you have combed them, wash as much of the baby oil off as you can. good luck!!View Thread
okay thank you! i wasnt quite sure if it was normal. and she does love us. everytime we go into the room when shes with her kitten she jumps up and runs over to us (even if shes letting her kitten nurse!) she will just jump away! so i give her more privacy and it does help. thank youView Thread
it did help thank you... i watched him eat before i changed his diet and he was eating too much.. too fast.. and drinking A LOT of water... so i feeed him a little less and not so much water and also not so much wet food.. i feed him a little more dry food and he has no more diarhea!! thanksView Thread
would just like to update all of you on how cinnabis(the kitten) is. today i brought him to the vet. they evaluated him. and they said his red blood cell count was 9 percent out of about 20 percent. and his temperature was low. they said that might have caused him loosing control of his legs. i signed custody "i guess thats what i call it" over to the vet and they said they will heal him and fix his legs and find him a great home! it warms my heart to hear that!!View Thread
was worried when i saw Gracie (the momma cat) not taking care of her remaining kitten. whenever there is anybody around, she wont take care of him(clean him, feed him, etc.) but when i left her alone earlier and i snuck up on her she was feeding him and cleaning him and she was purring and seemed very happy. (she does this when she thinks no one is around her, it seems) is that normal? do mother cats prefer privacy when taking care of their kittens? awwww i just checked on her again and they are curled up in a ball together!!!!!!!! i may just end up keeping him!!! any thoughts on the privacy issue would be greatly appreciated.View Thread
thank you so much i appreciate it! i heated up the towels in the microwave. he loves it hes just laying there passed out!! its so cute... ive been also giving him fluids he was dehydrated so i gave him that... ever since the first two kittens died of flea anemia the mother has been not caring for them as much.. like not stimulating them to go potty and such.. so ive been feeding him water and a little bit of lactose free milk. its been so hard watching the first kitten drag himself around by his two front paws. i surrendered him to the vet today and they said they will fix his legs right up and find him a good home. which makes me feel so much better. i was crying for that whole day.. and now that hes at the vet im crying because i miss him. but itss for the best!! and he will be better!! i want to bring the other one down there to because of the temperature and they blood cell count. i dont know how i would live with myself if i didnt bring him to the vet like his brother.. i want them to have a chance. i hope that i made the right choice. and i hope i will make the right choice again tomorrow too. thank you for your help! it means a lot to me! have another four week old kitten and he is cold. he is laying under the fridge at the vent part where the hot air comes out. should i let him stay there or do something else. we are surrendering him to the vet tomorrow. because his brother was surrendered today and his red blood cell count was 8 percent out of like 20.. (because hes anemic and so is this one)..and his body temperature was low. im worried he might have the same problem. any ideas on how to keep him warm until tomorrow?? i have had the heat in my house cranked up to about 75 all day and its so hot in here. hes still cold. what should i do until tomorrow??View Thread
thank you for your advice! i did it right away. he seems a little better, like more comfortable. but we are bringing him to the vets at 230 when my mom gets out of work. unfortunately the vet we are bringing him to doesnt have a payment plan. but they said theyll evaluate him, see whats wrong, and then we can sign him over to them so he can get the help he needs and he can find a good home. because when he could walk he was the most loveable kitten!!!!!! just like his dad is. so im gonna sign him over becasue i want the VERY BEST for him.... i love him.View Thread
