We have a one year old intact female Pitbull Mix, 3 year old neutured male Puggle, and a 18 month old neutered male Shephard/Bull Massive mix. Our female is mostly white with some light brown beige spots. Her coat is so thin it is almost non existant covering her extremely pink skin. We noticed about a 3 weeks ago (we have had her for less than 2 months.) she was showing some red allergic type reaction on her kneck mostly where her collar touched her neck. We assumed it could be an allergy to her Nylon collar. We have left the collar off, unless she is leaving the home with us; it appeared to be doing much better. Now I realize it looks much better every morning until they start playing. I have seen Sampson (massive mix) put his mouth all over around her neck while playing in the same area she has the worst break outs. I am now convinced it is an allergic reaction to the other dogs in the house. My biggest Question is what do I do for her to help prevent it. We try to wipe her neck after we see them playing and give her a couple of anti hystemines each day. If I try to put a cloth around her neck during the day will this only make it worst if the saliva gets into the cloth?
