Here is a usful sit to explain the conditions of the French Bulldog http://www.frenchbulldogz.net/learn-about-french-bulldogs/vomiting-regurgitation/ . While a different breed they do suffer from the same afflictions. My little boy had vomiting issues a few months after bringing him home. He was purchased from a KC breeder. Very stressful as tried different diets, anti reflux medications until referred to a specialist. My lil boy had hiatal hernia and had an operation which costs me more than what I paid for him..luckily I had insurance. He was fine for a few months then it all kicked off again to the point I was scared to take him in public in fear he may vomit. Took him back for further test and review elongated soft palate and a surgery was done to correct it and he was diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease after biopsies were taken of intestinal and stomach wall. Conclusion was that the food I had him on had to many proteins (fish, chicken & turkey) for him to process. Since surgery and operation on the soft palate seen a big improvement in holding down food and not vomiting after drinking water unless he eats something he shouldn't . He is on Burns Lamb and a wet lamb compliment. Good luck and hope this is useful.View Thread
