My dog has histiocytic sarcoma and I elected not to treat further after his having a large one surgicalyy removed and how quickly it moved all over him. He has skin tumors all over, is still very active and overall doing well, is on a pain medication and I give him Benadryl to help with the itching. The eruption of the top layer of the tumors involves oozing and a shedding of the skin. The process leaves large areas of a strong smelling powdery substance in his hair. I have been trimming this out, also bathing him to loosen it up, however some are really large areas. Is there anything I can use on him to loosen the matted areas? I want him to be able to spend time close to us and the smell is overwhelming.View Thread
