I have one dog who was prescribed an antibiotic 2x a day for 10 days as well as prednisone (10mg 1x day for 10 days). The dog is right at 99 lbs. the vet didn't tell us to wean him off so we didn't, his last dose is today.
Our other dog was also prescribed prednisone for a different issue, she's 99 lbs too, but was prescribed only prednisone, 10mg for 7 days then 7 10mg doses ( to give every other day tip gone).
Should we contact the vet to see about the need to wean the first dog off? Why would they wean one dog off after only being on it for 7 days but not the other dog for being on it for 10 days?View Thread
