I get sharp shooting pains in my right ovary.. I just recently started birth control back up and metformin and parlodel for three months. I went to the dr.. and all he said was something about an enlarged ovary. That's all he told me and gave me ibuprofen. It has happened a couple times but didn't last more than a week each time.. I just recently got diagnosed with pcos also. I also get sharp pains in my right side just below my ribs sometimes.View Thread
I was diagnosed with pcos a couple months ago after going to the dr. to see why I didn't have my period for 4 months. We have also been trying for over a year to have a baby.. I did a lot of tests and also found that my prolactin levels are high so that was the cause of no ovulation. So my Dr. has put me on metformin and parlodel. I hate taking these medications.. and honestly I'm still not taking the dose they want me too. Which is 3 metformin a day and 2 parlodel.. I'm still only taking 1/2 parlodel and trying to take 2 metformin. They make me so sick.. I have lost 8 lbs.. but I think that's because I have no appetite and when I try to eat it makes me feel sick. He also put me back on birth control for 3 months.. I have one month left of that.. Then I will go back in for more tests I guess. We got married last year in September and have been together almost 8 years.. I stopped my birth control in April of last year. I had normal periods since I was 16 .. but obv that was because of the birth control. I wish that I could lose more weight.. I want to get up and go walk and etc. then after I take those pills I just feel like a blob on the couch. Don't want to do anything cause my stomach is upset and I get light headed. Sorry this is long .. just wanted to share. lol
Have you been to the dr about this? I was just diagnosed with pcos a couple months ago after going to the dr because I didn't have my period for 4 months. I, for sure thought I was pregnant because we have been trying for over a year.. even though the tests were negative.. I found out that my prolactin levels in my brain are too high so it was causing me to not ovulate. So that's why I didn't have my period for so long.. good luck to youView Thread
