The doctor said he didn't want to give me medicine to encourage my period yet because he didn't want to overload my body with a lot of different medicines. My periods been doing the same thing. I've had super bad cramps enough where my boyfriend said that he was going to make me go to the emergency room if they didn't get better but the period itself very light for me. Way more light then normal.
I have had rectal exams and its soooo uncomfortable. It was the weirdest most uncomfortable feelings I've ever had. It's not TMI. I'm getting into the medical field and it's pretty hard to gross me out. Unless it has to do with blood....then I'll faint if I see it lol.View Thread
That would be great if you got choice/medicaid. At least it would be something right? I can't believe they charged that much for your doctor's appointment! I got my period yesterday but it's been pretty light thus far. The cramps are kicking my butt though. I've read that clomid can make them worse. I mean I'm doubled over in pain. I'm going to have an ultrasound down on the 20th to look at the cysts and then get more clomid depending on what the u/s says.View Thread
I'm going to go get another pregnancy test today but not Dollar store just to see if it makes a difference. I'm not taking it until Saturday though because that will be officially a week that my AF is late. It will also be two weeks since the doctor thinks I ovulated which is when my AF should show up. When is your spring break? I think that you should make that appointment ASAP. Thanks. I've been counting down the days until Monday. lol It's only 3 days!!! Please let there be a baby!View Thread
Well I took a pregnancy test this morning and it came out negative. No surprise there. So I'm figuring it's one of a couple of things: 1) I'm not pregnant. 2) my body is being a jerk and making my period late, 3) my body is psyching itself out because I really want to be pregnant, or 4)i just took the pregnancy test too soon. I took the pregnancy test with a Dollar store pregnancy test. I don't know if it makes a difference on what test you take. I think that's what the dr uses at this office but who knows. It I still don't get AF by Saturday, it will officially be a week late and I'll probably take another test.View Thread
Hey ladies! Well, I'm officially a day late. Not really late I know but it's kind of weird since I'm usually actually a little early lately. I have had months where I was up to 35 days late. DF is starting to panic a little but I"m trying to tell him not to worry. I told him I was going to try and not worry until I'm a week late. That would the 4th but I might try on the 31st since that's what the webmd ovulation calender says I should check.View Thread
I'm trying to keep my goal in sight but it's hard for me not to get disappointed. This something that I'm working so hard for. It's funny that before I met DF, I DIDN'T want to get married or have kids. I saw marriage as being stuck with the same guy every day for the rest of my life and that seemed really boring. But the first time I saw him, that was it. I knew he was going to spend the rest of my life with him and I was okay with it. Andy I wanted babies. I think I read metformin is supposed to help women loose weight if they are insulin defiecient or something like that. Or am I wrong? I tried taking birth control before and it made me worse. It would make me feel really sick and it would throw my already erratic period even worse. I went on depo and I didn't have a period for two months but then I had a period EVERYDAY for six months. Then it would stop for a day and start again. This went on for about a year. We have a program here called Family Pact that covers birth control, women's wellness exams and things like that for low income men and women. Through this, you can get birth control free or even at lower cost. Do you get that where you are?View Thread
I thought birth control was used for women who are getting their period but the periods are erratic. I could be wrong, that was just my understanding. I agree with you. I don't trust this new doctor and I would call or wait to see your doctor back home and see what she says. I seriously don't think that this new doctor has a clue of what he's talking about. Well at least you got your period!!!! I mean, I know it sucks and its uncomfortable but at least you got it. Do you mind me asking what you're taking the metformin for? I'm thinking that I'll take a pregnancy test on the 31st because that will be exactly two weeks from when the doctor thinks I ovulated and the doctor just uses the urine tests at the office. I don't think they do the blood pregnancy tests unless I get a positive on a urine pregnancy test. I should probably ask the doctor though when I go in the 6th to see what they suggest. I'm trying really hard not to get myself hopeful since this is just my first round of clomid but I'm really really really hoping in my heart of hearts that this is going to give me a baby. I know no matter what I say, I'm going to be pretty disappointed if I'm not pregnant. It's really not to get my hopes up especially since we've had to work so hard just to do something that everyone else seems to do with just snap of a finger. I've got four days until the 31st so I'm trying to hold off till then. We'll see. though.View Thread
That's absolutely really dumb that they are having you take pregnancy tests when aren't even HAVING sex. I think that you should go to another doctor. I shopped around for another doctor for the last four years for a doctor who would listen to me and take me seriously. They need to check your hormone levels. Something could be terribly wrong or it could be menopausal. I'm sure you want babies and it's kind of hard to do that when your body isn't working right. Humor never hurts anything. That's usually what I do when I"m upset or nervous. Make a joke so it seems less scary or serious. Why would you go on birth control? You aren't getting a period so it wouldn't help regulate it and you aren't sexually active so it's not like you are going to get pregnant. Did they mention WHY they want to put you on birth control? I'm still really hoping for a baby. I might not make it to the 6th. I might end up taking a pregnancy test on the 31st which is when the doctor said they earliest positive would show up if I am pregnant. The suspense is killing me and I want to know lol!View Thread
I was hoping to get a BFP at my last appointment but he said it was too early to tell so I'm hoping to get my BFP on the 6th. He said that if I wasn't pregnant, I"m going on a higher dose. I'm a little worried about what that's going to do on my cysts but if I'm not pregnant, the doctor said we'll do an ultrasound so we'll see if they grew or anything.
I hope the doctor's office near you calls you back soon so they'll give you some idea of what needs to be done or what to do!View Thread
Took a pregnancy test at the doctor's office. The doctor said it's probably too early to test and I'm going in on the 6th for a follow up pregnancy test and ultrasound if I'm not pregnant. He doesn't want to do the tests now incase I am pregnant. I'm not letting myself get too hopeful for a pregnancy. I asked him about my excessive bloating. He said we'll figure it out next time because he doesn't want to do anything that can hurt the baby if I am pregnant. He said that he'll put me on a higher dose of clomid if I'm not pregnant but I won't find out until after my period so I'll have to wait until the end of Feb. My Biopsy came back clean too which is awesome. I'm just hoping that this is my month for a baby and I don't have to do this clomid stuff anymore. It makes me crazy and hormonal. Even my DF noticed and he isn't the most observant person. lolView Thread
