I dont have the same issue , but from what I've been told my doctors and research online, its normal to loose the sex drive when adding hormones to oneself. remeber with PCOS your hormones are already off balance , I lost my sex drive for about 3 months one time. and i go to college. so it was definitely random lol its important to get a regular hormone check up View Thread
I know this sounds immature but has anyone been bullied? i remember growing up i got called fat, or hair gorilla or really awful awful things and I always wondered what was wrong with me until I finally got an answer for all my symptoms. Also I never wear tanktops, due to my horrible Acanthosis nigricans, its a curse really, I'll forever have a farmers tan (lol). How do we deal with all our symptoms? I go to college now and its hard keeping people around once they find out about my symptoms. Advice?View Thread
Hi everyone, I'm a young adult college student living with PCOS since i was about 15. Ive always gone through life with these random , seemingly unconnected symptoms, but upon an extensive online research( i actually diagnosed myself via internet and took it to my doctor) i have complied a list of all the symptoms pertaining to this unfair disease: 1. acne 2.weight gain and trouble loosing weight 3. excess hair in unwanted places 4. thinning of scalp hair 5. in women( irregular periods) or none at all 6. fertility problems (doesnt necisarily mean u are in fact infertile) 7. and depression I have a few questions too is anyone is kind enough to answer or put input. ive been researching around the worldwideweb and Ive come accross many websites for treatment centers, they all say the same things: exercise, diet, oral contraceptives.... however I keep finding that androgen and insulin resistance are the root causes of most symptoms. Questions: Has anyone taken care of their over reactive androgen problem? Has anyone had success in keeping the weight off ( because I'll loose about 5 pounds every other month and gain it back in between). How do we deal with Acanthosis Nigricans? All and any input helps!View Thread
