I am 23 weeks and have been told that I have PUPPP. It is a horrible itchy rash that only pregnant women get. I have it from my scalp all the way to my feet. I have tried coco butter, coco oil, Vaseline, lotion, calamine lotion and Benadryl. I finally went to the dermatologist and he gave me a steroid cream that seems to be working but I try not to use it too much. It has gotten a little better but now I have ugly scars and discoloration. Has any one else had this and will the scars fade?
ThanksView Thread
I am 39 years old expecting my second child. My doctor wants me to get a flu shot. I have not had a flu shot in over 10 years. I am not sure If I should get it because I don't know how I will react to it. It is already April. Should I get it? Has anyone else gotten it after flu season?
Thank youView Thread
I decided a forum like this will be a great opportunity for support along this journey. My birthday is this coming Friday... 38 years old! After a lot of ups and downs, I finally met the man I'm going to be with always. There are a couple kinks when trying to have a baby... he has a vasectomy and I'm going to be 38. I hear so many negative comments about women 38 and older, trying to have a baby. I'm looking forward to existing in a positive support space here. I've really struggled with other friends getting pregnant, and receiving "sad eyes" from family members who wish I would have conceived long ago.
I go to the obgyn next week to start asking questions about my fertility, etc. I hope everything goes well. I receive so much advice from family and friends about whether we should do a reverse vasectomy, IVF, donor sperm, etc. My partner is open to anything, although the costs associated with IVF scare us both a bit. I should add he has 2 children from a previous marriage (of which are very excited to share in this journey).
Thank you for listening!View Thread
I want to get pregnant so bad I feel like I am being selfish and only caring about what I want. My husband is excited either way if we have more babies or not. Am I being selfish or not? Should I just give up and be happy with what I have or should I try to find what is lost in my soul and keep trying to have more babies? I know God is giving and will grant the desires of those he wishes to but also do not want to push it and end up with problems in my health if we do. I fight the flesh in my life as to why did I have my tubes tied, why didn't I just walk away and not do it, and what have I done wrong to deserve this. Now I have begun to let God handle all my hearts wishes and know that no mater what if it is his desire for my family to have more members then so be it.View Thread
However, one of the most significant parts a women looks forward to in her pregnancy is sharing with her mother and going to her for advice and crying on her shoulder if need be, and looking forward to sharing babies firsts.... with her and so much more. I can not do this the way I wish, because my mother passed away a couple of years ago. I miss her daily and now pregnant miss her even more.
While I feel so blessed to have my husband and to be expecting our little miracle, I'd appreciate sharing experiences here if anyone is in the same boat. Thought perhaps we could row these waters together in the next many months.
With wishes for you all to have healthy joy filled months ahead.

I am 39 years old and 7 weeks pregnant. Today I noticed after using the bathroom a white jelly like substance in the toilet. I have had two miscarriages in the last five years and don't think I can go through another one. I have been trying not to worry but it's been hard. I don't go back to the doctor for another two weeks. Has anyone else had this happen?View Thread
I've just discovered I'm pregnant. Not exactly thrilled as I'd decided 5 was enough and have just started to be slightly independant of my children. After 10 years have just gone back to work as they're all at school.
I have decided to keep the baby though although am very worried about the risks, especially the risks to the baby. As I'm going to be 60 whilst this child is still in its teens and my husband will be in his 70's I don't wont my other children to have to be reponsible for a severely disabled child if I'm not able to look after it. Any advice?View Thread
Anyone else gone through a similar experience?View Thread
