I had my first child March 2012 when I was 39, just 4 months shy of 40. We were very lucky to have an uneventful, normal pregnancy and a healthy baby boy. Now I am 40, 41 in 2 months and 14 weeks pregnant! It was a surprise!! We are not really ready for another one, but still very excited. Even though my last pregnancy was fine, I still am concerned about the risks. I had the Nuchal Translucency Ultrasound and the blood test that goes with it last week and they came back within normal limits. I don't plan on any invasive tests unless my OB recommends one.
