Baby Parks Update: Emerson Noah Born July 16th at 1:29am weighing 7lb12oz 20 inches long, via C-section and I was in active labor dilated at 3cm and 100 thinned out. It was very smooth and so great to be able to actually enjoy this experience of birth with my son this time. Parker was a different story! Emerson is beautiful and a happy and healthy baby so far. We pray for a happy healthy 2 boys now. We are so very blessed and Praise God for these miracles View Thread
Thank you for updating Nicole. I would make sure and keep pushing if you are still not seeing results. We had lots of issues with Parker and he did not do well at all from the beginning. I breast fed only for 2 weeks then he was put on formula because my hormones could not handle it. So we jus started doing formula. He did ok for a while then by week 3 we were noticing him choking and gagging all the time. I thought it was my fault and because I had switched that he wouldn't be as healthy and all those guilty things you feel as a mama when your milk comes in great and he gets the right amounts but I just couldn't do it. Parker Aspirated meconium and was in the NICU for 8 days, I also had a traumatic birth right before that because his heart rate was dropping and they all told us all the ways we could die and that our baby would have been a dead baby if we wouldn't have got theere by then. So got there and had parker very truamatic under general anesthesia without any spinal or epidural just knocked me out, which was for the best at that time. Got him out and took him straight to monitor him casue apgars were like 4/9! It was horrible and I was so scared. He transferred to another local large hospital and I stayed right up the road. There were times when his O2 levels were low and would stay around 89-90 even when they discharged him home to us, so that was not a safe number for me but they assured us he was fine that was just where he breathed and that it would go up with age and it did slowly go up to about 98 now! He also had severe reflux and I knew something was wrong because he would gag and was choking on the milk. We added rice ot it and it helped but then his stomach would hurt and every formula we tried for the similac sensitve or anything he would just bow his back like it was killing his tummy and scream. He would drink and it would make a gulping sound then he woudl gag ans spit it back out, but he wanted to drink it cause he thought it would help. It was pittiful. So go with your gut feeling if there is something wrong you know your dchild. We are calling dr. laney tomorrow for parker because he was in the Er with Stomach issues still. He can't poop and they were looking to see what was going on. But it ended up being nothing and we just need to keep doing the miralax very regular. He was so pittiful. He also takes prevacid still to this day for his Reflux so you know your baby and if it's not better get him help Goodluck girl. We had Emerson July 16th at 1:29 am and it was so smooth I didn't know what to expect. It doesn't even seem like it's real this time cause he is here with us the whole time and there hi didn't meet parker til day 3. Emerson is the best baby ever and is sleeping so good and not fussy at all. I am praying it continues but know there little bellies do change around week 2. Thank you again and I may post a pic soon of our little family soon View Thread
I am 38 weeks and 5 days and starting to contract pretty bad and having to hold my breath and bend over to keep from hurting so bad but they did send me home today from the hospital and said I was not in labor. I was like what, labor is going to suck if I have to go into full labor. I have to dilate to 4-5 cm before they will do my c-section so I would really like to stop contracting now and just go in tuesday for the scheduled one but they won't stop me contracting. UGH makes no sense but I know they have reasons why they do it all and alot of it is new things they have set at the hospital. I know all about this from my job as a Coder for the hospital for years and that's part of it all, keeping the JCAHO standards met are priority in a hospital that size and that's one of those things they don't want everyone having routine scheduled c-sections at 37-38 weeks anymore just for the heck of it. It has to be a complication or reason for them to do it now. So here we sit waiting. Last year I could have done it at 38 if i wanted but oh well. We will make it and survive. I took some meds to go and try to relax as best I can. I am spotting and not sure if that's from her checking me or what but I refuse to go back in and get sent home again so I will wait til it's unbearable pain this next time and hope I don't get that bad before tuesday. 2 more days, I can do this girls!!!, CANT I???View Thread
We are in labor now but it's not hard labor. Waiting until I dilate before they will do my c-section so it's looking like Tuesday still for my scheduled section. Went in today and got sent home. I am having bad contractions every 3-4 min but am 0 dilated so we must wait it out til 39 weeks before they will do anything at our hospital!!! So aggravating, last year I could have elected a c-section at 38 weeks but now things have gotten alot strictor, and that's understandable to me since I worked in the medical fields for several years. Keep us in your thoughts and prayers I am super nervous since last time was so traumatic with my son but we will be ok.View Thread
Thanks so much for replying. How are you doing/feeling? I am ready to meet him but can wait 2 more weeks I guess. He is coming July 17th like it or not Having a c-section there is pain but I did forget how bad it was but mine wasn't that bad really but this pregnancy has been much different as I am sure my recovery will be also.View Thread
My Last OB appointment is Tuesday July 10th!!! I'll be 38 Weeks!! If I am dilated to 4cm and contracting she will do a section sooner, but if not we are scheduled for the next Tuesday July 17th to meet our son at 7am! We are very excited. 2 more weeks!!! I am 37 weeks and 1 day today!View Thread

I am miserable this pregnancy but I shouldn't complain it could be much worse. Hoping he comes about 37 or 38 weeks instead of my section at 39 weeks.
