Wow Danielle, that is scary about your DH! He is so young. I am assuming they removed the polyps and everything should be fine??? My DH is 31 also and has always had tons of stomach problems. I am always telling him he needs to go get a colonoscopy but he refuses.
Sounds like you guys have had a rough time lately. Hopefully everything is going to turn around and you guys can start focusing on your little bundle of joy View Thread
My MIL is very generous too. She already bought a bunch of the expensive items on our registry and she provides us free daycare for our kids so I feel like I can't really say too much but it still doesn't make me feel any better when she does it
Just think, in about 3 months you'll be back to your pre-pregnancy self and he won't have anything to say!View Thread
Girl I know exactly what you mean. My MIL is the same. When I was 17 weeks she told me I was "big" then on Easter she proceeded to tell me how my husbands uncle saw a picture of me on facebook and told her I look really big! My husband gave her a dirty look and she was like "what, what, I'm just relaying what he said." I mean REALLY!!! The funny thing is I am not as big as I could be. I am measuring 5 weeks ahead and from what I'm told with twins it's normal to measure anywhere from 4-8 weeks ahead and I have only gained 10 lbs! Even my SIL told her you are not supposed to say stuff like that to pregnant women.
I really think people like them will never change no matter what you say to them. I almost think it's like a jealousy thing. Has your DH said anything to him when he hears him say stuff like that to you? Personally I would ask DH to handle it and try to just ignore it. I know it's impossible but getting into a pissing match with your FIL is not going to do anything. Just know I feel your pain!View Thread
Hey Danielle! I feel like you haven't been on forever!!! I'm glad things seem to be going well for you. I feel you on the big belly. I will be 21 weeks this week but when I went for my last appointment at 19 weeks I was measuring 24 weeks (which is normal for twins). I swear I wasn't much bigger than this when I delivered my son! I can't imagine getting much bigger but I know I will. It's going to be crazy!!!View Thread
Last night was the first time my DH was able to feel the babies kicking, which almost brought tears to my eyes. I am finally starting to feel them moving a lot more. Most of the time I can't tell which is which but it is still exciting.
Otherwise, does anyone else ever have trouble breathing? Sometimes I just feel like I cannot catch my breath. It always passes but this morning it was especially bad and I started to get worried. I think it must have something to do with the position of the babies squishing my lungs but it is scary. I also keep having yellowish/clear discharge which is annoying. I know it's fine and with the twins and the cerclage I expected increased discharge but it still worries me.View Thread
I registered for the Combi Twin Sport. It gets great reviews. I have found that in general the stores carry the more expensive items but if you go online to their websites they have a much larger selection. I think it's a scam to get you to buy the more expensive items. I always read a bunch of reviews before I buy anything. I also registered for the double snap'n'go stroller to use while they are infants. When I had my son I got one of those travel systems and ended up never using the stroller. They are just too big and heavy and not convenient at all.View Thread
