wg - up 4 pounds
symptoms - not sleeping well, peeing alot and still pretty tired. Acne is pretty bad as well. But I am not as bloated or quesy and starting to see a little belly bump.

other - OB appointment on Thursday yea! Gonna try to listen to the heartbeat on the doppler. And I decided to do the sono for the genetic screening, if for nothing then to just get to see the baby.
Thanks for all the input on that from everyone! How are you ladies?View Thread

I just wanted to introduce myself as I might be on here off and on in the future. A little backstory: I lost my daughter at 21 weeks on 3/5/12. On 2/14/12 at our anatomy scan it was discovered she had Turner Syndrome and had cystic hygroma w/fetal hydrops. A really bad diagnosis and she did end up passing either 2/29 or 3/1. The worst day of my life was learning she had that fatal diagnosis.
We knew right away we were going to try again. I bled all the way to 4/15 and 4/16 my bleeding was super heavy, they thought I retained placenta and my dr ended up finding some on my cervix. Bleeding stopped a few days later and I was told by dr. Wait a cycle or two before you start to try just as a rule of thumb. Well here I am today and I have 2 positive pregnancy tests and a drs appointment tomorrow. We were not TRYING and i can think of possibly the day it might have happened. We are however, happy. I am just very scared and shocked. I am not really that worried about a Turner Syndrome diagnosis again as that is a chromosomal disorder that happens as a fluke. It would be like lightening striking me twice. But I am so scared I got pregnant too early, that maybe my uterus lining wasn't thick enough or healed enough? Does anyone have any words of encouragement about getting pregnant again so soon after a loss?
Thank you for listening!View Thread
Soooo..... I have to get a BP cuff for home.
It was pretty normal today but I feel fine today. I explained to her how I feel when I think it is high and she thinks it is definitely my BP. I told her about how I have gone to the store and used the store machines and it was a bit elevated but she said that the store machines are horrible and it could have actually been higher than the store machines were reading so she wants me to have a good quality BP cuff of my own that I can take in and compare its #'s with her #'s to check it's accuracy. Then I have to start checking it daily. I am happy to do this, now I won't worry so much about it if I actually know what my BP is rather than just feeling like it is high and wondering if I should call the doctor. Once I have the BP cuff I will know if I need to call the doctor or not. Takes the guess-work out of it.She felt my hands and feet and she thinks I am going to have a problem with swelling
. There was no protein in my urine, but she thinks that I need to start watching my salt intake and to only eat fresh veggies (no canned), add no extra salt to food, eat no processed meats, etc... I am eating super healthy and I weigh myself every night before bed. Within 1 day, I am serious 1 day (last Friday), I gained 7lbs and it has stuck with me. My weight didn't go back down, the extra weight and swelling is still on me. She said that is not weight gain, that is water weight. It is making it harder for me to get around, that is for sure! I gained 12 lbs total since my last appt 5 weeks ago!
After she felt my feet she thinks that about 85% of that is water weight.
She is concerned about such a large amount of swelling in such a short period of time. I just figured it was normal, since I was preg with Gwen in the winter, I figured I would swell more in the summer. She agreed with that, but she said not this rapidly within 1 month.
She said that I have to stop doing my mile+ walks outside, I have to start walking on our treadmill.
Hello BORING walks. She thinks that when I am getting warm (not even really hot) on my walks it is making me swell and probably not helping my BP. I really enjoy going on long walks with Gwen but the past few days I feel like my body is telling me to be horizontal. I asked her about that too, because in the pregnancy book they gave me it says that walking can help BP and swelling and asked if she thought that I should push through on those days I am feeling bloated and walk anyway or listen to my body telling me to slow down. She said to listen to my body. I start going every 2 weeks now. I wish we lived closer to the doctors office, oh well though. Yay for a great appointment for Reese! Oye, on the news about me and the swelling.

wg - still up about 3 pounds.
Symptoms - Well still mostly the same except with the additon of the awful headaches!! uggggg... so gald I can still take tylenol although I try to hold out if I can. It looks like I am starting to show for real now and not just bloat. My belly isnt much bigger but its getting rounder and is there weather I have just eaten or not. I feel like I just look chubby not preggo lol.
other - my next OB appointment is next Thursday!! I will be in the 2nd trimester by then yea!! almost past the danger zone!! If all goes well I will feel pretty confident we are actually going to get through this one. I may even start buying things for the nursery

How are all you ladies??View Thread
The group of ladies here really seems to be a great support group, which is something I'm looking for since DH doesn't really understand what I go thru each time I've had a m/c.
Also, I made the decision to switch dr office and go to a dr that deals with high risk situations vs. my old dr office which sent you elsewhere to deal with that.
Thanks in advance for the support during this pregnancy!View Thread

Monday May 14, 2012 at 8:15 am via scheduled C-Section Morgan Leigh was born. 7lbs 15 oz 20.5 inches long. Extremly healthy and happy.
Then C-Section went good, I guess my uterus was so large they had to vaccum her out. It was so funny b/c my whole 2-3 trimester I had like 6 scans b/c they were so worried about how big she was getting and here she was so small and it was just my body! I did have alot more pain this time around then last which is typical on repeat c-sec. I was pretty much helpless for a few days and actually made it worse when I finally felt some what better I did too much and got yelled at by my hubby b/c I was hurting so bad.
On a not funny note, I am glad I double checked b/c somehow the OR nurses left out on the surgery pre op double check my tubal so they did NOT tie my tubes, They looked at me like I was nuts when I wouldn"t leave without a Deo shot! I said it took 2 years for her and I probally would get preggo on the first shot this time. So I have to go get my tubal done in a few weeks.
We are all doing well and adjusting to our new family addition. My eight year old is doing much better then I thought and being a mom the 2nd time around is so much more relaxing then with the first.
Thank you all for your support during this pregnancy.View Thread

w/g about 30lbs...yikes!
s/c: I had some severe sciatic nerve pain for about a week, which was unbearable. I went to acupuncture hoping it would help, but little miss would not budge. I also tried some exercises that are supposed to help with the pain. A few days after the acupuncture, she moved and I haven't had any pain in almost a week, which I am so thankful for. Otherwise, my feet and ankles started to swell up about 2 weeks ago, so trying to keep them elevated at work.
other: I had our coed baby shower on Saturday, and it was so much fun! I feel truly blessed to have such a wonderful group of family and friends to share this experience with. We got a lot of stuff we needed, and now I am ready to finish up and get the rest of the things we need that we don't have yet. Thurs. we are leaving for our road trip to Dallas, which will be a 14 hour drive with an overnight stop at my Dad's about half way. Work is crazy busy and I think I will be busy for the next 2 months.
next d/a: Weds for reg. OB checkView Thread
I know I don't post as often as I should, but I figured that I'd update all of you on what's been going on with me.
Last I checked in, I was being tested for ICP. Thankfully, my liver enzymes are normal.
I was, however, diagnosed with gestational diabetes. Trying to stay within the limits of the diet is a struggle for me, but thankfully, my numbers and ketones have remained in a normal range.
After speaking to other peris and OB's in the practice, my doctor has decided to go ahead and induce me between 36-37 weeks. At this point, the fact that I'm on narcotics to control my gall bladder pain are enough for the induction.
I'm just ready to be done being pregnant. I am 32w3d preggo and I just can't take bed rest anymore!!!
Hope all is well with you gals!!View Thread
I see my midwife for the first time tomorrow and will step on a scale for the first time in 2 weeks (we don't have one at the house - I use the one at the gym and have been way too sick to go). 2 weeks ago I was down 5 lbs, so I'm interested to see if I've lost more, lol. I'll be 10w on Tuesday.
MORE importantly, she's going to do an ultrasound for me, too. I really thought I could get away without wanting/needing one before 20w, but I can't stop freaking myself out, between my recent m/c and how sick I've been. I'll be updating from my phone afterwards tomorrow as we're leaving from there to the airport to go to CABO!!!!! (Well actually we'll be in Houston for the night, then Cabo on Tuesday) Please send vibes/prayers for a healthy li'l snowflake tomorrow!!View Thread

I am scheduled for one last ultrasound next week Tuesday, and then another OB appt in 2 weeks where I will get my Group B test. After that I begin weekly appts. The OB says my uterus is already measuring at 35 wks, and since I had my daughter just before 37 wks that I have a higher chance of delivering early. So to be ready! And I am so ready, I can tell that he is ready too, I cant imagine that he has to grow more!!View Thread
