My first loss I woke up at exactly 6 weeks along with cramping and lower back pain..by dinner time I was spotting and by the next night the spotting had increased..when I went in to the ER my HCG levels were at 215 and so I was diagnosed as m/c..
My second loss I made it 6 weeks 5 days before the spotting started..there was no cramping but I still went in to the ER where my HCG levels were at 500, which they found low for almost 7 weeks..a week later my levels had only went up to 1500 and we only saw an empty sac on u/s..another week later my levels were at 1700 and although we saw a fetal pole on u/s there was no heartbeat and so I was told I would miscarry shortly..a few days later I did..
I am now 7w1d along today and saw a little bit of spotting this Saturday so I went in to the ER again for reassurance (but all the while thinking the worst) and was very pleasantly surprised when my HCG levels came back at 21 994 and we saw BB on u/s with a HB of 120 BPM!! But even though all of this has helped me to calm my fears some I am still waiting for that other shoe to drop..I keep telling my SO that I will relax when BB is in my arms next June!
I saw a little spotting again today (very little, just one time on t.p.) but I am worried because I have to be on regular Tylenol most days because of these debilitating migraines and now my sore ear..I hate taking anything while pregnant but I was assured by home care nurses and the Dr's and nurses at the hospital that Tylenol is safe during pregnancy..
It just sucks that we can't enjoy our pegnancies anymore because of the losses we have been through..
I hope all is well with you and that you get only good news at your appt. this week..
Keep me posted and good luck xoView Thread

Today finds me in limbo..my day was great, only had to take Tylenol once for the headaches and I was actually able to handle my daycare and make a trip to the park with the kiddos but as dinner time came around my headaches came back and now my left ear is stinging like crazy!! First last week was the sore throat and now the ear..I'm wondering if maybe I don't have a slight cold or flu or something..I will try to sneak into the mini clinic at my OB's office tomorrow since I will already be in the neighbourhood for the other tests I need to get done..
Karen- I don't know if your OB has mentioned it to you (or if you've mentioned to him/her about the heartburn) but with all my pregnancies I was told I was allowed tums or even better zantac pills..they work wonders and the heartburn goes bye-bye in no time..View Thread

Vicky & Bean
7 weeks today!!
So happy to write that because with my last two pregnancies I didn't get to make it any further than 6 weeks w/o starting to bleed and m/c..I know I'm not out of the woods yet but I feel very hopeful this time around..
While at the hospital the Dr. and I discussed my last losses and from bantering back and forth we figured out that I should have been getting my win-rho injection after every time I bleed during pregnancy so that is probably why I lost the last two..at least now I have an idea of why and I know it wasn't genetic or something I did wrong..
S/C: Major, debilitating migraines..Tylenol is my new best friend.. nausea has set in and I am having great difficulty doing my daycare every day..thank Heavens my SO is now doing it with me so I can put the brunt of the day on him..I do feel bad for it but I will get him back when I feel better..
Other: Have to find a day this week where I can go in for the tests my OB wanted..the HCG count was from the hospital this weekend but I still haven't gone in for the other tests she had ordered..I have to not eat for 8 hrs prior to these tests and when I don't eat I feel extremely more nauseous so I don't know how I will do it but I have to find a way and a day this week..
Hope everyone else is doing great

The first one being that they took me in ahead of time and the on call OB was super nice..he was very receptive to my complaints and worries..at some point during the appt. he told me he would go talk with his colleague and would be back soon..and when he came back I got to meet my new OB (the one I have my first appt. with in two weeks) and I simply love her!! She is so pro-active..she is sending me for a whole bunch of tests from thryroid to diabetes and also this thing called disease #5 and she also suggested we do the preliminary blood work now for my first appt.
She gave me a prescription for progesterone suppositories and told me it can't hurt to use them..she also is calling in an u/s so we can date the pregnancy but she will be calling me back with the date of this appt. (as they don't do u/s directly at the OB's office)..she doesn't think I am in any imminent danger of m/c since there is no bleeding or cramping but this time if something does go wrong she says we will check to try and find out what and why..I just simply adore her!!
So I will be going in early tomorrow morning for the blood work (including an HCG count) but I won't have the results of that until Monday and then of course I will have to do a repeat again on Monday but just meeting with her has left me feeling less worried and stressed..
And to top this all off I woke up feeling nauseous this morning and got sick (well dry sick) and I've had a bad headache following me all day..
Seems like things are going in the right direction!!
Thank you ladies for your continued support and prayers
P.S. Oh and the throat thing is nothing apparently..the spots are gone and they say it will leave on it's own..just a little annoying is all

I plan on asking them to test me for hormone levels (which the receptionist said they would do) and and also about the possibility of thyroid issues..my mom had an operation for hers..I don't remember why the operation occurred but I will be asking my mom tonight when I can reach her..I also want them to take a look at my throat, which has been killing me for the past few nights..noticed some red bumps on it this morning so I'm hoping it's nothing dangerous..
Although I've been wanting to go in I am extremely nervous about the results..
Wish me luck ladies..View Thread
