My Story:

DH and I have been together for 3 years now. We were patiently waiting to start a family until we were in a house, and were working on buying one when a miracle happened. We conceived our first child while on the pill. While we were both shocked, we were also sure it was Fate, since the baby obviously overcame great odds to be here. Everything was awesome until our 10th week. We went in for our 2nd ultrasound and the baby had no heart beat. She had stopped growing at 8wks 6days. She had been measuring small in the other ultrasound. We were shocked, as I still had all of my symptoms. We had a D&C the next day, which was full of complications, including a torn cervix. We were devastated and crushed that our baby girl, Safia Lee, would not be coming home with us. She had a genetic abnormality that would not have let her live. After a few months we decided to go off of birth control. 5 months later we received another miracle, our second BFP on 03/01/11!!! This baby is doing awesome and measuring big. Praying and hoping for a happy and healthy 9 months!
