So I have hardly been on here all summer. But we had our baby boy, Hudson on August 9th! After about 30 hours of labor we had an emergency c-section. The last four weeks have been a slow recovery as we have had a lot of complications. But things are looking up now! I will post a longer birth story later. Just thought I would let ya'll know View Thread
Ok so last week I tested positive for Group B Strep. My doctor didn't seem very concerned about it at all. But then of course I start looking it up online. I need to stop that! Has anyone else had it before? I have a list of questions for my doctor on Wednesday since I don't really know anything about it.
Well I haven't been posting in so long! It has been a really busy summer. But since the end is near for me I should give an update!!
Hannah and Baby Boy 37w4d
w/g - I don't care anymore
symptoms - Just plain uncomfortable, and hot! Sometimes have nausea if I haven't snacked. Swelling has definately been an issue, but seems to go down if I elevate my feet. Gone are the days of being able to wear my wedding ring. I have sausage fingers now! Exhaustion is what is getting to me these days. I feel tired all day long! Definately don't feel bad taking naps anymore.
Other - Baby has been measuring and weighing very large. I have another ultrasound on Wednesday to check his weight. A month ago he was coming in at six pounds! EEK!! And my belly has not stopped growing. Tummy has gone from basketball to beach ball! Doctor thinks he will be between 9 and 10 pounds. As of last week I was dilated to 2 cm, his head was at -2 station, and my cervix is really soft. Hoping by Wednesday to have some more progress. But not too much progress as my Husband won't be back till next week! He has been working away for almost six unbearable weeks and comes home next week. I am so excited for him to be home I can hardly stand it!!
I hope you ladies are all doing well and enjoying your summers
We had them done too. The results didn't matter to us either. Either way our little one is a blessing to us. We decided to because my OB said it would help them determine if I would need a more specific sort of pre-natal care. Like closer observation/baby monitoring, or if C-section would be a safer route...
But I know many people that don't have them done as well!View Thread
Oh goodness during my all day morning sickness I only ate things that stayed down. I just depended on my my prenatal vitamins to give little peanut some nutrients I wasn't providing. Once I started feeling better I really try mixing fruits and veggies in with foods I enjoy. Like I always put mixed berries in my yogurt. Or a banana over some cherrios. You could try adding some peppers to your scrambled eggs. Rice was something that didn't bother me when I was sick so I would try adding some steamed veggies to it. I too don't enjoy meat but I have found that I do crave it a little more these days! Maybe you will be a lucky mama and crave some healthy veggie snacks!!
Sorry your not feeling well. Hope it gets better soon!View Thread
