s/c: Occasional hip pain and lower back pain. Trying to get up and walk around more often at work, since I sit at a desk all day.
other: I can finally feel little Miss on the outside now! DH loves to feel her moving around, it is such a cool feeling! So far I have felt her moving/kicking/punching every day since I first felt her movements on Friday.
Next D/A: OB 4/11
Heather you are full term, yay!! Glad your test results were negative. Sounds like your body is gearing up for this baby.
Julie, sorry you are having trouble sleeping. Aren't the dreams crazy?
BethAnn you are so close now! I hope your BP doesn't shoot up again. You are so close, I hope he decides to come while the family is in town.
Hannah love your name, btw (we are naming our girl Hannah!). Sorry about the congestion. I had it really bad for a while. Then I got a cold and used a nasal rinse a few times, and my congestion has seemed to clear up quite a bit. It hasn't been as bad as it was in the beginning, perhaps something worth trying?
Nicole so sorry about the acid reflux. I'm so happy that your DH is finally home! Enjoy your time with him! I can't believe you are moving in a month!
Mandy that is so exciting about your anatomy scan! I hope baby cooperates. Sorry about the BHC...that sounds really scary!View Thread
I played on a pool (billiards) league about 13-14 yrs ago. My team met at the same bar every Monday night, and we played a different team. It was at a pool bar, so there were about 20-30 league pool tables, and only one non-league table. The first night I met DH, a guy on another team had put some money in the jukebox and got 20 selections. He put in 5 songs, and said he didn't want to stand there all night putting songs in. So I jumped in and added songs, and other people kept coming up suggesting songs to add. DH was one of those people, and he suggested a lot of classic rock that I'd never heard of, so we flirted a little bit. The following week, he was there again (DH was not in the league, he just lived up the street) and he was playing on the challenge table (the only non-league table), and as I was leaving, he asked me to play. So we played a few games and he asked me out. I didn't expect much from our date as I had already been married and divorced twice, so I was just looking at it as a fun night out. Our first date was great, we went to Dave & Busters and played pool and had a great time, and I realized he had an awesome personality and sense of humor. We have a lot in common and are both from TX. From that point on we were inseperable. We dated for 8 yrs before we got married (we bought our house after we'd been together 5 yrs). We have been married almost 5 yrs. So 13 yrs total together in July. First kiss was wonderful!View Thread
Congrats and welcome! The 1st tri is so hard, I understand your anxiety. Especially with what you've been through already. I'm so sorry for your previous loss. I look forward to getting to know you!View Thread
I'm so sorry Britt. I hope your blood supply builds up and you get your strength back soon. Take extra good care of yourself, you have been through so much. Sending lots of ((HUGS)) your way.View Thread
w/g: 17lbs...ugh! I think we had a growth spurt in the last week
s/c: My hips are hurting more often now and am having trouble getting/staying comfortable at night.
other: Starting to feel her more often, for some reason it feels like a stomach ache to me when she is kicking me around my belly button. So cute! I think we have picked out a name for our girl. We have only agreed on 2 names so far, one being Hannah. I found out the other day that Hannah is a family name on my dad's side, which I thought was cool. Lucille will likely be the middle name, which is DH's late grandmother's name. So all this time I've been battling to not have family names, and here we are with family names.
We finished the nursery, except we still need to buy a mattress. I hope we will get registered this weekend. Also, I am looking into getting a breast pump from Craigslist and buying new hoses/attachments for it. Do you think this is safe? I think there is a place that will clean the machine for you, so I need to look into that. But it will save us almost $200.
Next d/a: 4/11 OB
Heather, congrats on being an aunt! Sounds like you are nesting now, which is great. You are getting so close!
Kirsty I hope you passed the GD test! Have fun with the nursery! I still need to pick out the bedding for the crib.
Nicole I can't believe you will be so close when you move to AZ! Luckily you can do without a crib for a little while after the baby is born, so you will have time to get things in order. I am excited for you that your DH will be home in a week.
Julie enjoy the new bed! And have fun planning that first birthday party, so fun!
Beth Ann...OMG you are soooo close! How exciting to know you will get to meet your LO in a week or so! It sounds like you are ready!View Thread
s/c: My hips have really been bothering me lately, and having pains in my lower back. Finally over my cold, so am able to sleep better at night again.
other: We got our car seat, stroller, and 4 car seat bases last Tuesday, and got our furniture on Friday. All of it came from Craigslist, and I love all of it! DH is finishing painting the nursery today, so when I get home the furniture should be in and put together. yay! We need to get registered and we'll be sending out invitations for the baby shower in the next couple of weeks. It still seems crazy to me to be having a baby shower though!
Next d/a is Wednesday
Heather, I'm so glad you had a nice time at your shower and got to spend time with your mom! I can't wait to see your pictures, that sounds like a lot of fun! And congrats on your sister's LO! I hope she has an easy delivery!
Nicole that is amazing you haven't put on any weight yet. I'm sure the OB will let you know, but hopefully your little guy is just fine. I'm so excited for you that your DH is going to be home soon! That really sucks that you can't find an OB before you move though. I hope you can work that out and find somebody quickly that you like before it's time to deliver.View Thread
