~To be a child is to know the joy of living, To have a child is to know the gift of life.~ Author Unknown
This Pregnancy board is here for women who are ALREADY pregnant and have questions for the expert and other members about their pregnancy.
The expert here cannot tell you whether you could be pregnant via an online forum. There are a lot of factors involved. However, you can get some excellent member feedback on the WebMD Could I Be Pregnant community.
Once you've confirmed your pregnancy, we encourage you to come back to this board for member and expert feedback, or join in on our Pregnancy: First Trimester board to find a group of friends who will follow you through your whole pregnancy and beyond into our Parenting communities.
Good luck!

-Vaginal Exam: can cause spotting due to the sensitive nature of the cervix as you approach your due date: NORMAL
-Sexual Intercourse: definitely can cause some spotting afterwards, due to the "boom-boom" effect (penis contacting sensitive cervix, can result in spotting.) NORMAL
-Vaginal Discharge: Thicker, mucousey brownish- pinkish discharge is usually okay- particularly when there are no symptoms of discomfort.
-Bleeding: During pregnancy, bright red, steady or heavy bleeding is a potential emergency and needs immediate follow-up. (In contrast to active labor, when there will be small amounts of bleeding as the cervix dilates.)
If there is any concern of any kind related to the pregnancy- better to be safe than sorry- contact your health care professional or labor and delivery directly.
Anyone with bleeding situations, please comment; we learn so much from real life experiences.

I'm looking for information as to why our embryo measures large, very large, compared to what many internet resources say is normal. We live in China, and while we had an ultrasound there was very little to no information other than "it's normal" from the doctor, so I'm turning to the net.
Situation:
My wife's last period ended on about March 25th (our Ultrasound was from May 5th), this should mean she's 6 weeks pregnant (4 weeks embryo age), right?
The embryo measured 2.8x2.0cm, (1.1 x 0.8 inches), but I read that it should be closer to 0.4cm or 1/8th inch..... I'm a little confused, and not really sure how there could be such a large difference, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Note: She has also been slightly bleeding, which is why we went to the hospital to get an ultrasound that night. It has been light but consistent for the last week - only a few drops a day, but clearly visible.
Thanks for any information on this!View Thread
i seem to be really confused. i had unprotected sex with my boyfriend on January 9th 2013. i was really scared as i though i got 'what i though was my period' 10 days later that only lasted for about 3 day. i though there was no chance of me being pregnant so i got on with life.
after a while i was having a lot of changes and when i looked up the symptoms for a pregnant women i felt like it was describing exactly what i was going though. i took a first home urine test on Feb 4th and though if i was it would be positive. but it was negative! i then went to the doctors and got a urine test sent off but that came back negative too.
now if i was to be pregnant i would be around 16 weeks. i still have pregnancy symptoms but dont know what to think. my bobs have been killing me the last few days like a lot. i took another home test and it still came out negative. my tummy it starting to feel a little podgy and i keep having pains feeling like im going to get my period but it doesnt come.
is there any chance i could actually be pregnant and still getting negative results because i just dont know what to do any more.
the though of being almost half way though your pregnancy and still not knowing scares me.
would appreciate any kind of advice, thank youView Thread
Does moaning take the pain away? No. It does, however, give the brain something to do in response to the pain. Left with no clue how to respond, women will often end up screaming, which can trigger the Fear/Tension/Pain response: she becomes fearful of the pain, which increases the tension in her body which increases the perception of her pain. Allowed to continue on this cycle, she is likely to whirl into something that looks like panic. Panic looks and feels like out of control-which is often an expectant woman's biggest concern.
Think MOANING when it comes to coping with contractions!
