Does diabetes run in your family? Did any of your siblings, your mother have GD? Those are some risk factors for getting GD.
Because of pregnancy you are more likely to have some health problems because of hormonal changes, etc.
You don't mention that you are pregnant so if you are just try to eat healthy and exercise and you should be fine.View Thread

You'll probably get more ultrasounds and your doctor will watch the growth of your child more. And you probably won't go full term. I went into labor at 37 weeks.
There are more risks to you and your baby since you are diabetic but try not to worry because stress can make your blood sugars go higher which can cause more problems. Just relax and and try not to worry, i'm sure your little one will be fine.View Thread

Sorry to hear about the threatened miscarriage. Hope all works out for you and your wife and you'll have a happy and healthy baby.View Thread

You probably aren't 17 weeks but only 14 weeks. It's possible you ovulated later than you thought. If you have any questions about the gestational age of your baby, talk to your doctor. He/she can give you better answers.View Thread

I was having some contractions so they monitored me for several hours and did some testing for a yeast infection and bladder infection among other tests. So far everything is negative.
After IV fluids the contractions slowed so I guess I was a little dehydrated and that can cause contractions. I try to drink plenty of water but I guess it just wasn't enough so I have to increase my fluids and I have to make sure I go to the bathroom aprox. every 2 hours so my bladder isn't full because that can cause me to have contractions. I already make several trips to the bathroom throughout the day so what's several more going to hurt?
I'm happy all is well and i'm not having my baby anytime soon.View Thread
