Key words: "may be". The study also says, there is no need to be alarmed because 98% of women who experienced fever or flu during pregnancy went on to have children who did not have symptoms of Autism.
Sounds like just another way to get more people to get a flu vaccine (i.e: more money for doctor's offices).View Thread
My first seemed to drag by the ENTIRE time! However, this is # 2 and I'm due in a few weeks and I feel like this pregnancy has been a complete whirlwind! I can almost guarantee that with the holidays coming up, you will speed passed those pretty quickly, especially if you have a lot of plans with family and what not.
Don't just let this time go to waste though, do research on pregnancy, labor and delivery, breastfeeding (if you plan to), or formula feeding, what to expect after baby gets here as far as how newborns sleep, pooping, etc. I cannot tell you how helpful it was to have some of that knowledge behind me.
One thing I DIDN'T research and I can't believe I didn't was breastfeeding, I just knew that I wanted to - but there was a lot I didn't know and ended up having some issues because I wasn't really educated about it and some stupid nurse in the hospital gave me misinformation - long story short, had I done my research, I would have saved myself a lot of heartache.
Either way you choose to feed, RESEARCH! and Good luck mama, I hope you have an awesome pregnancy!View Thread
If you are 5 days passed your period, its unlikely that you are testing too soon. However, you could just wait a few more days and test again - make sure you are testing with your first morning urine.
If you still get a negative, it would be safe to say that you aren't pregnant. Many "pregnant symptoms" are sometimes just pre-period symptoms. And stress, worry, etc can make your period even later. I've been up to 10 days late before and I am typically very normal with my periods.
Just relax, wait a few more days and test again. If you still havent gotten your period after testing again, then I would call your gyno and set up an appointment as there could be other issues - OR you might not respond to HPTs and need to blood test to confirm your pregnant or not. Either way, just relax.View Thread
