My wife is 34 and had an abortion after almost 6 weeks of pregnancy. One day she started bleeding heavy and all of the sudden a piece of muscle fell on the toilet. Next day we went for D&C.
She was prescribed cycle-progynova and some other medicines, for like 3-4 days she was OK. Then suddenly she started bleeding and having back/stomach pain. for pain she used ibuprofen. On her 9th day we had our last visit, Dr. did a transvaginal ultrasound and found no residue tissue or any other thing, he said that everything is clean.

On that same day few hours later she started bleeding heavy with clots she was like change 4-5 pads in 10mins, it was late and we had to go to ER.

While in ER she was given an IV with Gentamicin and Oristin that night bleeding stopped, next morning started again then she was given IV with gentamicin, orastin and few hours later estradion 10mg. Bleeding stopped for some time and started again on next day.

She was given 1 amp of ergometril. then next day one doctor said that she should do the CA19,9 and CA 125 test, guess what CA19.9 was OK CA125 was 53.6 normal values < 33.

After these results my wife was divested, we went to a private GY/OB clinic to get a second opinion, Dr. there said "coz of the heavy bleeding and D&C this test is not accurate" and prescribed cycle-progynova, in case of heavy bleeding to take two at once.

History:
My wife had removed a 4cm myoma in uterus 5yrs ago, 1yr ago she had a polyp removed from uterus from the same doctor; so we decided to go to that doctor again today

He check with transvaginal ultrasound and said that there is no residue tissue. uterus has some fluids but it is in normal state;
and prescribed 5 pills of estrofem per day for 3 days with 3 days pause then 1 ergometril 5mg for 15 days.

1. After all those bleeding and D&C and different therapy can those CA125 result still be accurate?
2. Is it any thing wrong on taking 5 estrofem 1mg pills per day for 3 days?
3. Does any one out there might know what had caused all this bleeding if there was no residue tissue in the uterus?
4. Is it normal having this much bleeding even after 13 days of D&C?
