You should speak to your doctor about any health concerns you might have for getting pregnant. It is not impossible to have a healthy pregnancy and be overweight. Depending on your specific situation (like your risk factors for certain things such as diabetes and high blood pressure) you could be at higher risk for complications. Again you would have to speak to your doctor about that.View Thread
Actually you can ovulate several times in a cycle - which many times faternal twins were conceived a few days apart. You can also ovulate while pregnant it is called hyperovulation - although this is EXTREMELY rare and while you can become pregnant a second time because of this the window is mere weeks since your mucus plug developes and keeps everything sealed.View Thread
Its always hard to say what symptoms you will and won't have for PCOS. You can technically not have cysts and still have PCOS. There is a good support group though and you should check it out. I have a lot of the more classic symptoms but I have known girls that have had little to now symptoms. One of my good friends, her only symptom was that she stopped getting her period on a regular basis. She does have a few cysts but not like me. My ovaries look like they have bubbles on them.View Thread
It sounds like they are going to test your progesterone levels to see if you have ovulated. They wouldn't check for hCG until you miss your period. I forget what the target numbers are for progesterone after ovulation but I do know the higher the better.
I will say, I have PCOS and losing as little as 10 lbs can make a huge difference in fertility treatments. Also a part of PCOS is high blood sugar (usually high end of normal) so if you start cooking like you have Type II Diabetes it can help lower your blood sugar. Also you can ask about Metformin, it is sometimes prescribed for PCOS. There is a support group for PCOS, I believe it is under Women's Health.View Thread
It certainly can be normal. I didn't want sex until I was well into my 3rd trimester. I still cuddled and snuggled up to DH but I didn't want to be touched. Try to be understanding, she could be scared of having sex during pregnancy or just may not feel up to it. Show her that you love her and understand and let her know that if she wants to do something then you two certainly can but there is no pressure.View Thread
You should still mention it to your doctor as they will probably ask questions but PP is right your uterus is stretching and especially if it is your first you uterus has never gone through this before.View Thread
Pregnancy symptoms mean nothing if you are not pregnant. Those are all generalized symptoms that could easily be attributed to other causes.
The only way to for sure know if you are pregnant is either by ultrasound or pregnancy test. If you believe you are pregnant then you should take an HPT or make an appointment with your doctor for a blood test.View Thread
I would assume you have told your doctor you are pregnant and how many months you are (if it is not obvious by now LOL). If you have any worries about taking a prescription NOT given to you by your OB then you should call your OB's office OR you should raise concerns with the pharmacist who would also be able to tell you if it is safe to use or not. Their job is to catch those potential problems which is why you should keep your pharmacy updated with your health information and current medicines including supplements.View Thread
