Hi nicole, I have my first appointment tuesday as well. I wont get an ultrasound until the following week though. I forgot the way to get any early u/s is to tell them you dont know when your lmp was lol. Anyway, I prayed for twins when i was preggs with my second, now that he's here and 6yo I thank God everyday that there wasn't 2 of him!!!View Thread
your chances of having twins even if it runs on the dad's side is exactly the same as the rest of the population. Non-identical twins carry a chance of greater occurance only when it runs in the maternal family in the maternal line ex: your mother or grandmother or sister. Identical twins are the "by chance" twins and dont require that 2 eggs be released with ovulation. Only that one egg is fertilized by 2 sperm. You have the same chance of twins as all of us!! LOL not sure if that helps or not!!
My first was 5lbs 6oz and i gained 80 lbs with her, lost it all and was back in a size 2 in time to get pg with #2. He was 6lbs 8oz and i gained 35 or 40 with him. Ate really well with #2 ate all junk and sweets with #1.
Yuck, I'm getting sicker and sicker by the day!! Way worse than with my first 2. My clothes are too small yet I'm not showing. I have 4 weeks left on my 6 weeks notice at my one job, and things are so slow at the yoga school in the summer that that stresses me out in general. I just remember how nice and easy the 2nd tri is, and I want to fast forward!!! I know I'm not alone lol.

cranberry juice can work but you have to drink the unsweetened actual cranberry juice. Its about 8 bucks for a 24 oz bottle and you need to drink about 1 of those every 4 hours for about 7 days. The other natural remedy I used always for uti's or just urinary irritation is corn silk hair tea. The doctor on the island i lived on in greece told me to take it and i've been using it ever since. You can buy it in the health food store. Ask your doc about taking it during pregnancy since it is an herb which are drugs.
I also just get worse cramps when i have to pee really bad, but then i always did since i have endo it kind of makes everything crampy. But i notice that in the morning i have cramps so bad i can barely walk upright to the leu! lolView Thread
Golfing!!! DF's father went out and played 18 holes on a course with no shade, on saturday, the hottest day the northeast has seen in 5 years lol. then they drank a case of beer and wondered why they felt like crap!!!View Thread
I'm losing weight as well but its fine with me since im starting off overweight. I gained nearly 40 lbs when i went off the pill due to hormone imbalance. But with my last child 7 yrs ago i gained nothing until 24 weeks, and was still in my size 2 jeans at nearly 6 months, then all of a sudden it all happened at once. Ended up with a total weight gain of 35 pounds. Was back in a size 4 by 4 weeks post par. With my daughter ten years ago I started gaining right away and gained almost 80 lbs lol. I was back down to a size 2 in about a year.
I dont worry about the weight, i just try to remember not to eat any more than i did pre preggo. we need on average through the entire pregnancy 300 extra calories a day but more specifically it breaks down to about 90 extra cals a day during the first tri, 200 during the second tri and 400 during the 3rd tri.
Your body will do what it needs to do, and as long as your not using the baby bean as a reason to eat the house on a daily basis you should be fine. That being said, I'm a nutritionist and still indulge in a few hershey kisses a day lol.
