Thanks ladies!!! I guess i should be happy that I'm not feeling sick at all. I just couldn't remember when it started with my last pregnancy, but from the sounds of things... what happened last time might be completely irrelevant for this pregnancy. Oh, the joys ahead! Thanks again!!View Thread
Well hello everyone! I can honestly say, it's quite a surprise to back here so soon! I just had a positive HPT on Sunday and my DD just celebrated her 1st birthday yesterday (Tuesday). DH and I just keep telling ourselves that God has a plan for us...so we are definietly excited! Still a little in shock, but excited.
So looking at the calendar, I realize that I'm 4 1/2 weeks along (using first day of last period as a start date), but I don't "feel" pregnant. I'm a little tired, but chasing a 1-year old around will do that to anyone. But with DD, I was already feeling nausous (sp?) by this point and I'm just not there yet. Not that I'm complaining, but just wondering if anyone else can comment on when they started feeling sick?
Thanks all and I'm so excited to be taking this journey again!View Thread
YES, to Kohls!! I went there yesterday and raided their clearance racks. I left with 2 shirts and 2 pairs of capri pants for $27.60! One of the shirts was $3.60! I know I will have to expand the wardrobe more later because it is "encouraged" at my job that we wear suits everyday. I just can't see spending all that money on maternity suits...View Thread
I completely understand where you're coming from. About a month before I got pregnant I stopped taking a stimulant medication for ADD that I'd taken almost every day for nearly 11 years. When I found out I was pregnant I quit smoking. Both of those things on their own usually cause people to gain weight, but with the two back-to-back combined with the pregnancy I gained about 7lbs by the 7 week mark. Yikes! I'm happy to say though, I'm now 12 weeks and 2 days and haven't put on any more weight (maybe a 1lb fluctuation--depending on when & where I weigh myself). So, hang in there...it'll all level out as your body continues to adjust to all of the changes it's experiencing. View Thread
Thanks so much! I figured it had something to do with round ligament pain, but then I read somewhere that that pain doesn't usually start until the second trimester. OY!!...this darn internet. I swear, it's a blessing and a curse! I'm trying not to worry but at the same time I'd hate to have something go wrong that could have been prevented. I'm actually going to be leaving the office soon heading to an off-site meeting and I think I'll give my doc a call from the car. I can't be the only 1st time mommy to call with concerns about things that are perfectly normal, right? Thanks again and congrats to you too on your 4th! (That's awesome!!)View Thread
I have a question for anyone who has been pregnant before. I'm 9 weeks and 1 day and this is my first pregnancy so I'm not sure what's normal or what I should really be concerned about. I've been having pains recently, but just on my left side. It started as lower abdonminal cramps which I figured were from my uterus stretching as the baby grows. The pains have become more frequent and sometimes stretch up through my left hip area and sometimes all the way down to the bottom of my pelvic bone. Again, this is all on the left side. I've already had one u/s to confirm the pregnancy and the doc said everything looked normal so I know it's not ectopic. Also, I haven't had any bleeding or spotting. I just want to know if anyone else has experienced anything like this or if I should try to see my OB. Thanks in advance for your feedback.View Thread
Thanks ladies! It's so nice to know there are others out there going through the same thing. Especially since it's still the first trimester and we're being selective about with whom we share the great news.View Thread
...if one of my co-workers asked me if I was pregnant without having an obvious pregnant belly, but today I almost hoped someone would ask. At least then I wouldn't feel self-conscious about my expanding waistline. I will be 8 weeks as of tomorrow and between the pregnancy, getting off of a stimulant medication for ADD and quitting smoking, I've definitely put on a few pounds. By a few, I mean 5 -7 lbs, but I'm only 5' 2". I know it's all for the best but, wow, I just feel fat! It's definitely time to invest in a few looser fitting shirts!!View Thread
