I too have a similar story. I am prego with my 2nd due 7/19; 12 days before my sons FIRST birthday!!!!! yes, we got pregnant very quick!!

this is my first pregnancy too and I also had my first u/s at 10 wks! we were able to see our baby dancing on the monitor!! it was amazing!!
you are in for a wild ride! im now 32 weeks and it has been a life changing experience already...we are having a baby boy; I found out when I was 16 wks.
im about to have my baby shower on 6/11 and im super excited!!
We were TTC for many years and finally we are pregnant and im about to have this beautiful baby boy! enjoy every minute of it...before you know it, your 40 wks will be up!!!!

Im not sure how far along u have to be to hear the h/b, but I had my 1st u/s at 10 weeks and u could clearly see a baby. even if you were 7 wks along, I would think, with an u/s they could as least see an image of a baby and / or the hear beating.
with your hcg levels raising, that is GREAT news! I would def. get a 2nd look before you do anything (like a d&c).

When i head my babys heartbeat for the first time, i was 12 wks and it was 168 bpm...i have heard that girls have the higher h/b.....but...im having a BOY!!! so, dont always go off the h/b!!

well...I had a dream that I was having a boy as well early in my pregnancy...and...I am!! I don't know how true pregnancy dreams are, but it was true with me
I wouldn't waste your $$ on the Intellgender kit. im not sure how far long you are, but I was able to tell the gender when I was 15 wks.
