Hey there! I used Cocoa Butter the entire time I was pregnant with my first and had not one stretch mark. It is very soothing too. I've already started using it. There is one (It's in a white bottle) that even says stretch mark cream with cocoa butter. This has a much more mild scent. I used this and regular cocoa butter lotion with no marks. I don't know if I'm just lucky but so far I swear by it

beyond exhausted. I'm about as far along as you are. I have my first ultrasound next Friday finally. It still feels like forever away. I am so tired all the time.. I just want to put my head down at work and sleep and by the time I get home from work I have zero ambition. I feel bad because I can hardly stay awake to spend time with my daughter and husband.
Hopefully this exhaustion will pass soon!!View Thread

Emotional Wreck

I seriously am an emotional basket case right now and have been really bad for the past 4 days. It started Friday with one little thing and I seriously fall apart at the silliest stuff. I do not ever remember being this bad with my first. I'm afraid my husband is getting upset with me but I cannot help it. I am paranoid about every little thing. If he acts differently or says something I feel is different I get upset. I do not know what to do or how I can control this..
He will ask me what is wrong and I do not know how to explain "I don't know".
Ack...
I have these awful thoughts about myself, like I'm gross and he's not going to want me (I'm only 8 weeks) heaven knows I'll look a heck of a lot worse... It's just miserable the way I feel right now...View Thread

I am so sorry to hear that you lost your daughter's father. No you are not crazy.. I have been an emotional basket case. I have the same thoughts go through my head at times and then I talk myself out of it telling myself that it's all going to be okay and that everything happens when it happens for a reason. I even bought a book over the weekend titled "Everything Happens for a Reason". I took this new job in December because I had finished my Master's 3 years ago and was stagnant in my career. Now I'm afraid that I have moved on to a better place with more opportunity I will be treated differently and overlooked.
My parents divorced after 36 years two years ago and I have a strained relationship with my father so I have yet to tell him and I really don't want to tell him or anyone on his side of the family until I absolutely have to.. It's an awful feeling. I'm 30 and afraid to talk to my dad about anything even remotely serious, let alone this. He hasn't seen my daughter since Christmas and he lives 15 minutes away.... but that is an entirely different story.
Your parents may be thrilled for you and I'm sure will be there for you again. Please don't feel crazy, believe me I promise you I have had the same thoughts. I wish I could turn off my brain. I turned to this group in hopes that there would be others out there to lean on and share these thoughts and feelings with and just get support to know that I am not going crazy.
Do you know how far long you are or when you would be due? You will be okay. I wish you all the best as well. Please don't hesitate to respond or email me directly. If you want to email me let me know and I'll send you my email address. Hang in there.

Thanks for the email
We went to a party yesterday for some friends and my husband was blurting out telling everyone!! I wanted to wait until I at least went to the doctor.. what a dope.. I'm still holding off on telling most family and friends until I see the doctor.. I feel like March 15th is an eternity away.
How are you feeling? I'll send you an email soon.
Take care,

Hi Lacey,
I'm in the same boat. It's getting a little better now but they always suggest the BRAT diet, which is Banana, Rice, Apple and Toast. I hate bananas so I skipped that but plain steamed rice with a little salt and butter has been a life saver as well as apples and toast. I cannot really eat meat either so I gradually was able to move up to putting peanut butter on toast for some protein. Beans, Spinach and broccoli are also high in protein so try a salad with spinach, fresh strawberries, naval oranges and bananas also contain protein if this is of concern. I had an issue with even drinking regular water and you are supposed to drink a ton. If you like fresh fruit throw some in a pitcher with water and ice and the fruit will naturally flavor the water without all of the added sugars. I don't know if any of this will help you but I hope it does. Hang in there. There will suddenly be a day when you are hungry again
