Hello everyone, I have read all of your stories and I like to say there is hope for me.I just had Laprascopic surgery done a few days ago. My Obgyn was going in for endometriosis and he discovered i had a Didelphic Uterus. I have 2 cervix, 2 uterus, 2 vagina's and never knew it. I am 24 years old and married. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for a while now. I went to the ER a couple of months ago thinking i had appendicitis, Dr. did a cat-scan said I had endometriosis, so i scheduled a trans-vaginal ultrasound, and she thought my ovaries laid on top of my uterus, After many doctors telling me what they thought was wrong with me i finally get the real results during surgery my OBGYN diagnosed with me something He had never seen before a didelphic uterus. So now as I'm healing from the laprascopic surgery he is going to research and refer me to a specialist. I have no idea what I'm getting into. I would love to keep my spirits high and think positive and hope for healthy babies but not knowing makes it scarier. I don't know what questions to ask my doctor either. Ive read that some people only have one kidney. My Dr. Said he also seen a skin flap separating my uterus also. I'm wondering if he is referring to a vaginal septum? Ive read that some people gets this removed to increase chances of pregnancy. If thats true what kind of surgery will be preformed. I'm so upset about this and don't know where to go from here. Except do what the Dr.'s tell me. Any advice, comments, or stories you have for me please share. I need all the help i can get. God BlessView Thread
aww. that is amazing congrats. I know there is hope for me. God made us this way for a reason. I was wondering How long did it take before you became pregnant after your septum was removed? My husband and I have been trying for a couple of years now and each month is so disappointing. But now I know why im not getting pregnant. I am suppose to be meeting with a specialist to get what they call a skin flap removed soon. Im guessing that is the vaginal septum. Also, to find out what ovaries are releasing the eggs each month as well. Do you have to get shots with your pregnancy? How often do you have to go to the Dr. Since your a high risk pregnancy? I would love to keep in touch. Thanks for the replyView Thread
