Ah, I am scared to even post cause I know I'm about to get bashed....but I guess I deserve it.
Here's the deal. I found out I was pregnant in December, immediatly I quit smoking! Did great for about 2 months, then in February, we relocated dispatch centers at work, went to midnights and 12 hour shifts, was around ALOT of smokers..no excuse I know, anyways I have started back. I know that is SO HORRIBLE! I feel just horrible about it. I'm not smoking a pack a day but I do smoke 6-10 a day. I feel horrible about it . Every day I swear I'm done, then by mid-day I start again.
Any suggestions as to what to do, how to quit. I think of my precious little baby and I feel like such a failure. I swore I would never smoke, and when I found out, I quit cold turkey...now it's 10 times harder.
Any advise, words of encouragement would be great!!!View Thread
lol! Too funny! I know what you mean though! Weird part is that I have actually lost a pound since I got pregnant....however my stomach is huge! I'm a thick-chick anyways so big butt and big thighs and big everything is normal for me. But my stomach looks like a swallowed a huge beach ball and I am only 19weeks. I figured since I was chunky already that it would be a while before I showed...WRONG!View Thread
Thank you both! (both for not bashing and for the helful advise...) I quit before and started back just cause I was gonna go outside and have one with the girls and then another and about 3 days later I started having the cravings. Of coarse I don't smoke as much as I did but even one is too much .I wouldn't let me baby or children smoke so why should I MAKE them?
I think some of it, not placing the blame cause I am the only one to blame, but 2 of the girls I work with were like, 'I smoked with all 4 of my kids and they are fine' ...yada yada yada....I don't believe it is healthy therefor I quit to start with. I can't believe I started back. You ladies have been very inspirational I WILL BE QUITTING NOW! Thank you both!View Thread
I GOT THEM TOO!!! Errrr. I snatched a few out last week, ugh, more grew and now and can even see the old ones coming.
As for the old wives tales! I thought so too! However, I asked my doctor if the hair would go away after birth and she said " Yes, BUT that makes me think you are having a BOY". Something to do with the testosterone!?!?!?! Good luck!View Thread
Ok, so I'm a little thick, normally wear a size 12-14. I haven't gained but 1.5 pounds. I'm 14 weeks and 5 days. My clothes didn't fit my pants were tight before I found I was even pregnant which was at 6 weeks but I didn't think anything of it. Now I look like I am 8 months pregnant in my stomach. Another girl at work is due at the end of the month and I am the same size as her. I haven't put on any weight per the scales other then the 1.5 at the doctors office but my belly is huge. Any idea? Maybe just bloating?View Thread
I'm 15 weeks as of tomorrow and mine started this week. I had an achy feeling then in later that day I went to get out of my truck and kinda twisted getting down and it fell like I had been cut in half! OUCH! But since then I have been having the mild and some times sharp pains. Mainly when I move my waste! I assumed they were round ligament pains as well.View Thread
You are correct- there is no increased risk! HOWEVER, the risk is more dangerous due to the fact the it can actually harm or even kill an unborn baby. Not to mention, no one wants have to deal with being that SICK while pregnant not only for the symptoms but the fact that some treatments aren't safe for the pregnancy....
However, I can't deny the fact that I still each me a good ham sandwich occasionally at home!View Thread
