Symptoms/Conditions: My siactic nerve is killing me again. Last time it was really bad and my doctor had put me on bed rest for a few days. Hopefully it won't get as bad this time. I also have had pain in my pelvic from stretching.
Other: Our little guy is being very active lately. He will even kick back now when my belly gets pushed on. lol
Hello and congratulations on you pregnancy. This is my first pregnancy as well (besides a m/c at 4 weeks) so I am no expert but I am at 21 weeks and I have had braxton hicks and that makes your tummy feel hard. Braxton hicks should only last a few minutes though not constantly. I know earlier in my pregnancy I had mild cramping, like period cramps but they came and went. It might just be your stomach stretching because I did have pain around that time but you should definitely ask your doctor about it. You could even call the office to see if it is something you need to be sooner about. Good luck and I hope things get better for you.View Thread
So we went to our 3D ultrasound appointment and it is a boy. We are so happy to really know for sure. It was also really cool to see our little boy better. He looks like he is going to have my husbands pointy nose. lol I guess we will see. It is neat to really see his fingers and toes though.View Thread
Congratulations!! I know I was very excited when I started my second trimester due to the fact I had a m/c before this pregnancy. My morning sickness did not really go away until about 18 weeks and I still get it here and there and I am at 21 weeks. It is not nearly as bad as it was in the beginning though. Good Luck!!!View Thread
I of course am no expert but my husband and I went on a trip about a month ago and everything was fine. I was about 16 weeks at that time. I have had a little cramping as well throughout my pregnancy but nothing intense. My doctor told me as long as the cramps are not severe than they are normal just because of the body strechting and preparing for birth. Listen to your doctor but I would say everything would be fine until she is farther along. I will not travel once I am in my 3rd trimester just for the fact I would not want to be gone and go into labor early.View Thread
Thank you both for your suggestions. I did decide to schedule an appointment for the 3D ultrasound place that is by us. The woman there worked out a deal for me and we go in on Sunday to figure out for sure. I know it would not be the end of the world if he came out a boy but it would be nice to be more sure about it.View Thread
Okay this may be the most odd question but I was wondering if anyone has ever been told they are having a boy but have a girl instead. I am pregnant with our first child and we found out last week we are having a boy. The only strange thing to me is the penis looks like it is in the middle of the belly. I know that sounds weird but you can clearly see the legs and head and the penis is inbetween the head and legs, almost like it might be the umbilical cord. We are fine with either boy or girl, I am just worried we will buy everything boy and it will be a girl instead. Not that we would love her any different she would just dress as a boy instead for awhile. lol We have an ultrasound place near us that you can pay to have a 3D ultrasound done so we are thinking about that we just don't really want to spend the money. Any exprience would be great. Thank you!View Thread
Hello and welcome. That is awesome on your first ultrasound. I am 21 weeks and I had my first ultrasound at 12 and another one at 20 and it is the coolest thing to see. Anyways I would go by the due date of the ultrasound. Of course no due date is right on but if the baby is measuring bigger than he or she is most likely farther along than you knew. When they go by your last period they predict you ovulated 2 weeks after but many women including myself ovulate early. For instance my due dat is November 16th with going by my last period but since we were trying to conceive I know I ovulated a week earlier than what I would have. If I were you I would go by the ultrasound due date. Good Luck!!View Thread
