I'm sorry to hear you're so stressed. I'm not sure how it affects the baby...I can only speculate and the thought is very concerning.
If walking alleviates your stress, I would make every possible effort to find time. Some people wouldn't know where to begin to alleviate their stress. So, it seems you may have an advantage.
An 8 year old and an 8 month old and being pregnant...it sounds stressful, but you can handle it! I'm a firm believer that God doesn't put more on us than we can bear.
Do you have family and friends you can talk to? Other ideas: you can call the church or other national prayer lines for prayer, if you work, your job may have an employee assistance line that will provide someone for your to talk to, traditional therapy, you can check to see if there is a Pregnancy Resource Center in your area...they help those who are dealing with an unplanned pregnancy.
I wish you all the best and I pray the stress will lift immediately!View Thread
Anybody have experience with cholestasis during pregnancy? I know itching is normal, but I've read online that if it's worse in the palm of your hands and soles of your feet then it may be something more serious.
I have an appointment tomorrow morning with my Dr. I'm seriously hoping he doesn't brush me off as just "normal" because I definitely want to do the blood work just to be on the safe side.View Thread
Thank you MrsBurt05! I hope all is well with you and your family.
Everything worked out...thank God!
My blood pressure hasn't risen that high again. However, I keep getting weak after eating breakfast. I don't understand what's going on. The dr always says everything is normal and common during pregnancy.
If I keep getting weak, they will check for anemia and check my thyroid.View Thread
Today while at work, I was rushed off to the emergency room. I got really hot, jittery and felt really faint. I tried to get up to get water, but I didn't make it far, it felt like I would go down any minute. My heart raced and it was just scary.
I'm 24 weeks. When they checked my blood pressure I was at 150/90. They gave me meds in the ambulance to bring down the blood pressure.
I asked the dr. how I can avoid my blood pressure going up so high. I'd hate to be at work and have this happen often. But he said he didn't know and that I'd have to talk to my ob/gyn.
I follow up with my dr. tomorrow morning. I'm home resting now, but I notice my heart is beating harder than normal, so that worries me a little.
How are you managing high blood pressure or how have you managed it in the past?View Thread
