Another reason to not begin breast pumping before is baby born is that your colostrum typically comes in after baby is born. This milk is very important for the baby due to the fact that it contains important antibodies and nutrients that is very important to the newborn. It also contains a mild laxative to assist your newborn with its first stool.
Try using a warm compress to help alleviate any tenderness, ask your OB for suggestions or check out La Leche League's website to see if they have any ideas. Also, I'm pretty sure there is a breastfeeing group on here you could talk to as well.View Thread

Chewing gum also seemed to help. Milk helped too, but it was only short lived and would come back stronger than before.
I did notice that if I ate too quickly, sometimes I would get heartburn - some maybe slow down when you eat? And drink plenty of water while you eat.View Thread

Susie and Barb are friends. Susie had a baby, bought a double electric breast pump and used it for 6 months.
One year later, Barb has a baby and Susie offers the use of her pump. Barb accepts.
Susie gets pregnant again and will need the pump back (though likely not until Barb would be done with it). Barb later informs Susie that the pump broke while in her possession.
Who is responsible for replacing the pump? Or should they share the cost? Please elaborate.View Thread

Would your answer change if Susie let Barb borrow the pump - both with the understanding that Susie would get it back when Barb was finished with it?View Thread

Weeks 13-25 (months 4-6) = 2nd Trimester
Weeks 26-40 (months 7-9) = 3rd trimester
At 21 weeks, you would be 4 months and 1 week pregnant (though I just said 4 months. At 4 months 2 weeks, I said 4 1/2 and so on).
The weeks get a little confusing for me sometimes too (and this is my 2nd go around). I typically just go off of the month. Though it has been a little easier since I uploaded this app (from bbc) that tells me when I move up each week, and little updates. Its nice.View Thread

I'm not sure what you having a different placenta has to do with anything as the fetus is not inside the placenta. At 13 weeks the baby isnt even all the big (about the size of a peach) so I'm not understand what it's location in the uterus has to do with anything. Also, this early in the pregnancy, the babys position doesn't really matter anyway, it could do cartwheels inside you if it wanted and it wouldn't matter.
If you are feeling uneasy with your doctors answers, then you need to insist on them being answered (YOU are the patient, you have a right to know what is going on) or you should perhaps find a new doctor who wont withhold information from you.View Thread

Have you talked with your current job about possibly working from home or telecommuting a couple days a week?
You are right, there are several legitimate work from home jobs out there, its just really hard to find them! I would definitely advise on putting away as much in savings as you possibly can before the arrival of your LO.
One website where I found some WFH ideas is called Christianpf.com
It is a Christian based personal finance blog, however, there are quite a few articles are legitimate ways to work from home and gives examples of websites you can go to. I am currently in the hiring process for one of the jobs I found on there called Leapforce (they are a vendor for Google and you essentially rate and help make their search engines work more efficiently).
Get online and start doing your research now, don't fall for any "get rich quick" schemes. Anything that wants you to pay is NOT legitimate!
Good luck!View Thread
