Have you tried using the "See all Discussions" page-accessed by clicking it in the upper left side of the page or by clicking see all discussions on the right side of the page?

You still can see other posts by the users you want to follow by clicking their name in a post or in the member directory for this exchange. (Though there is a glitch with the member directory right now that we hope to get fixed as soon as possible.)
