I have been wanting steak like nobody's business for a while now. But the problem is that I only like it medium rare and I'm not sure that it's ok. I know different people say yes and others say no. Has anyone actually asked a doctor about this? I hate to call the office about something so silly, but I keep forgetting to ask at my appointments and I don't have another one for 3 weeks.View Thread
Annie is my favorite. There are very few people named Annie anymore (I don't think I've ever met one), but at the same time, it's a great name. She'll have a different name than other kids without it being weird or difficult. Pretty much the same way with Lucy, I just like Annie better. My only concern with Emily is that there are soooooo many girls named Emily. It's such a pretty name, but I think it would have annoyed me as a kid to be one of 3 girls with the same name in a class. JMO. Good luck in choosing one.View Thread
I got the Cocalo Couture Tahiti collection. I liked it b/c it was very different from the other pastel pink and lavender collections. I'm not crazy about the curtains, so I'm going to do something different for the windows, but everything else is super cute. The only store I was able to find it in was the Navy Exchange, but you can buy it online at
Try smelling coffee beans. That's supposed to clear your nose. That's why a lot of perfume counters have cups of coffee beans, so you can clear your nose between smelling different fragrances.View Thread
We have another level 2 u/s on Friday to see if the 2 cysts that they found on our daughter's brain are clearing up on their own like they should. (Not sure what the next step would be if they don't.) And they need to get a good look at her heart. She wasn't cooperative last time and they couldn't get a good enough look at her heart to see everything they needed to.
Please pray that the cysts will be completely gone and that they will see her heart that is 1000% healthy. We are really trusting that God is taking care of our little girl. Clinging to Psalm 139:13-14: For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
It will be just me and DH. Once we've had our time, everyone else can come in. My family is totally cool with it and it's their first grandchild. MIL is not happy and this will be her 3rd grandchild... get over it. Just b/c SIL let the whole world in to see her business on display doesn't mean I have to. I'm looking forward to having that time w/ DH as our first family time as a family of 3. View Thread
I have had a terrible time buying maternity pants. Small seems to be the smallest size they make (why? when they tell you to buy your prepregnancy size? A lot of people wear extra small clothes!). Everything seems to be HUGE in the butt. I wasn't too worried when I started buying them b/c I figured my butt would inevitably get huge and they would unfortunately fit. Well, at 22.5 weeks, my butt has not grown (yay!), but none of my pants fit. This weekend, I was out of town with only warm weather clothes and it was freezing, so I had to buy pants.
I was in JC Penny and they had a sale: buy 1 item, get a 2nd for 88 cents. I tried on their jeans and the small fit perfectly! No sagging butt and they are incredibly comfortable! Not to mention, they make my legs look AWESOME!
I wanted to share this info with everyone else who may have had the same problem. B/c a great pair of jeans can make you feel fantastic! Well... at least they do for me. View Thread
