Sorry I was gone so long, was just soaking up every second I had to be home with my boys:)...
Everything went very smooth with LO. I went into the hospital around 6pm on the 6th after having some contractions since the 4th. The contractions slowly got increasingly more intense and frequent. I contemplated going in wednesday night but decided not to because I had no one to stay with Izayah. Then thursday I called off work and walked around the neighborhood while Zay rode his bike for an hour or 2. Once my mom woke up she could see the contractions coming and getting stronger so we went up and the dr asked me to walk the floor for a while and if I progressed then we would have a baby that night and if not they would give me something to help me sleep and break my water in the morning. I walked and progressed quickly Just an hour or so after I got the epi Little Zakiyah made his entrance to the world!
Since we came home Izayah has been a great big brother. He's always wanting to help mommy with "his baby" and wanting to hold Zakiyah. I love having 2! ...
As for juggling work and my boys, I have a great support system and I would do anything for the boys so I definitely make it work. I have cut back on my hours at work to be home with them as much as possible because leaving them everyday is a struggle!View Thread

38 wks today
w/g: 17lbs same for the last month
s/c: just plain miserable! I can't get comfortable for anything. When I sit he's in my ribs, when I stand there is so much pressure it is painful and even laying down i can't seem to alleviate the pain in my ribs or back to get comfortable. Tired all the time and can't seem to get a break.
Other: Getting the crib on wednesday or thursday so I can set that thing up and then the only thing left is to pack mine & LO's bag for the hospital. DS seems to be very antzy about his baby brother coming!
Next D/A: tomorrow 8/28 reg ob, hopefully i am making progress!!!View Thread

I believe i lost my mucus plug about a month ago and am still very much pregnant.
The chunk that I saw was clear with brown blood streaks in it but wasn't completely bloody or anything like that. The dr said it can rebuild itself and I am guessing after a month it probably has.
From what I have heard though if it is red blood you are close and once you get between 4 & 6 cm the labor is supposed to jump start so hopefully you are having this LO soon!!!View Thread

With my first LO, I didn't have any labor signs until my water actually broke so having BHCs this time has really confused me! Just hope that when I am in true labor I really know it like everyone suggests!...
Wish I could be more help but I know what you're going thru & I must say I agree with what everyone has told me "better safe than sorry"... Good luck!View Thread

How are you feeling Megan? and How is your precious princess?View Thread

hope the BHCs arent too bad for you & you are still able to get the LOs room all set up without being too uncomfortable.View Thread

Thats great that they are back to school, but seems like you are a little lost without your helpers... nothing wrong with that! Hopefully they are just as helpful when you bring baby home!
.... Well I'll be sending labor vibes your way and praying for them to come my way so that we can both get back to normal and be holding our LOs in our arms!... Hope things get better for you!View Thread
