Strangest thing. Throughout my pregnancy (first) my LO has been measuring about a week ahead of me, so when we went in this week for our 34 week appointment we were expecting her to measure 35 weeks. Well, she measured at 37 weeks!!!! I haven't had any complications, no GD, great blood pressure, never even got sick once, so I'm a little worried I'm going to have a giant baby!! The doctor scheduled us for an U/S at our next appointment... in 2 weeks, if she hasn't made her grand entrance yet. I just hope for a healthy baby!! Has anyone had this happen with them? Maybe just a growth spurt?!View Thread
Ha! I thought it was all in my head! It happens to me for about the first minute after I get up and moving!! Kind of a strange feeling! I'm 34 weeks today, but I think I started feeling it around 28 weeks? Not to mention I don't know I have to empty my bladder until I stand up or stretch out. View Thread
I'm not sure if its related or not, I'm 32 weeks and at about 27 weeks I started feeling my little one pushing on my ribs.. it just kind of felt weird.. now shes jamming her feet in-between them and it takes my breath away. i hafta change positions and rub my belly to get her to move out of there.. im also only 5'3" idk if that matters or not for rib kicks. hopefully its just your little one moving around on you, unfortunitly for you its not a pleasant feeling!! i hope it gets better!!! good luck!View Thread
Please no negativity!!! Everyone is entitled to have the type of childbirth they want, and this is what I want. Best of Luck to everyone!
Hi, I'm going to be having a little girl around February 23 and would really like to try to have, at the least, a non-epidural/spinal tap birth. Not because I think they harm the baby, but because I would like to have the full experience of childbirth. Everyone seems to think I'm crazy and won't be able to do it, which actually make me want to succeed even more! This might be the only child I have, and I think the natural birthing process, as painful as it may be, would be an incredible bonding experience for little Lilliana and me. My husband is supportive up to a point, he won't admit it, but I think he honestly believes I will fold at the first real contraction. I have signed up for a bithing class, but want to see about taking a few online classes, or at least find a few videos for pain management. Does anyone know of any they would recomend? Thanks for any input!View Thread
This is my first pregnancy that has survived past the first trimester. I've been having braxton hicks contractions starting around 15 weeks, with no pain. They just made it feel like I was carrying a bowling ball, and lasted a min or so, then everything was back to normal. I am now 28 weeks as of today! This morning, however, I had what I assume is a braxton hicks contraction. However, I was incredibly uncomfortable (pain in upper uterus area, diarreah like cramp feeling, and I tried walking it off and sitting to no avail) and it lasted about 3 min, went away and came back 10 min later, and lasted abour 2 1/2 min and then everything was back to normal. Has anyone expierenced this?! I go to my OB on Tuesday and will be talking to him about it, and if it happens again I might call and talk to a nurse practicioner.
On a more amusing note, there are alot of things they don't tell you before you get pregnant. I have now had this happen 3 times. My bladder wasn't 100% empty and I have sneezed, coughed, or get kicked in the bladder (by the baby!) and wet my pants. Not alot, just a few drops. At first it freaked me out. I thought I was leaking amniotic fluid until I checked my pany liner and it was definitly urine. ... 12 weeks left and I'm counting it down! I'm so ready to meet my little girl!!!View Thread
