Short: Emily was born 11/10 at 11:20am. 6lbs 11ozs and 18 3/4 inches long.
Long: I went in to the Dr. on 11/9 for my weekly apt. My blood pressure was high and I had protein in my urine. My Dr. decided we needed to induce on Thursday and I needed to be on bed rest Wednesday. Well at about 2:00am Wednesday moring I woke up having contractions. They were regular but not very strong. At 4:30 my water broke while I was in bed. The water was dark she had pooped all ready. After I finally got my SO to wake up we headed to the hospital. We got there at about 5:30 and my contractions were every 2 minutes but still not very strong. When they checked me at 6:30 I was at a 4 contractions still not very strong. At 9:30 they gave me my epi and my contractions stopped. They started pitocin at 10:00 and at 10:30 I was still at a 4. At 11:00 I told the nurse I feel like pushing and she told me that I couldn't be ready yet but checked me any ways and I was at a 10. They wouldn't let me push until the doctor got there and the NICU team got there because she had miconium in the water. I will tell you that was the longest 20 minutes ever. Emily was born in one push. She is doing great. No complications. Her APGAR were 8/9. She has her days and nights mixed up but we are woking on it.
The kids are just in love with her right now.
Thank you to everyone who has given me support during these times. Labor vibes to all that need them. Hoping to see you all on the newborn boards soon.View Thread
1. How far in advance do you purchase groceries for Thanksgiving? Usually about a week before. 2. How many times have you over cooked or burned part of Thanksgiving dinner? I don't remember but I'm sure that have been some. 3. Do you eat ham or turkey for Thanksgiving? Both only because my SO wants both. 4. What is your favorite food in your Thanksgiving dinner? The leftovers and pumpkin pie with lots of cool whip. 5. Do you have relatives that make you cringe to see, during the Thanksgiving holiday? Not anymore. I have told both families they are welcome to come over but if anyone starts fighting they will be asked to leave and can't come back. This has helped so those few who like to start something don't even come.View Thread
I'm right there with you. I never got a break though. Zofran doesn't work for me any more and neither does anything else. I just keep telling myself that LO will be here soon. I know not much comfort.View Thread
I don't post as much as I would like to any more but work has just been so busy.
Why is that every person I see has to ask the same stupid question or make the same comments. My favorite today came from an 80 year old lady. She said "You're not going to make it through the day. You'll have the baby tonight" I just looked at her. She goes on to say "I know because I'm a nurse." Um ok I was just at the Dr. this morning and Dr. even thinks it will be a while. I just looked at her. I can't say anything. I'm so tired of the "Oh your still here." "You're getting big" "You haven't had that baby yet." "Are you sure you aren't having twins?" I know that you all get these too. They are just really bothering me today.

We do use a filter for most of our other water though.View Thread
I was induced with my second & third DS because of size. My body was ready was with DS2 and it was much easier. I was at 3 cm. He was born within 4 hours of starting pitocin. With DS3 my body wasn't ready. I wasn't dialated at all. I was started on pitocin and I was in labor for 72 hours before he was born. It was horrible.
The induction really depends on if your body is ready or not. Have you dialated at all yet?View Thread
