I don't bother looking for low-carb options, I just stick to the proportions that they give you. One English muffin (wheat) equals 2 carbs and I add peanut butter to it for more protein. You could also make your own egg McMuffin with an english muffin and eggs or egg beaters.
I don't look at any of the stuff with artificial sweetner in it. Most doctors can't agree on what is safe and several of them are definately not. If I want yogart, I have regular yogart in the kiddie or travel size. Most of the carb portions match more what you might put on a small child's plate, rather than what a normal adult might eat. Just add extra protein, salad, and veggies to round out the meal.View Thread

The hard part is scheduling your eating and snacking (3 meals and 3 snacks a day) around when you need to test your blood sugar. Your doctor will give you the ranges you need to stay within and the dietation will answer any questions about food choices and usually teach you to test your blood.
My numbers on the 3-hour test weren't that high, but just high enough. I wouldn't worry about having done something wrong. It is just that our bodies can't produce enough insulin to cover for us and for the baby.View Thread
