1. Attempt to "get in shape" and if you are overweight, consider losing some weight prior to surgery. I find that men who are in excellent cardiovascular health, often bounce back quicker after surgery.
2. Learn about and practice Kegel exercises. These (often simple) exercises will help the return to continence after surgery.
I had a CABG 15 months earlier due to a blockage that cause SOB. But no MI or angina.
So I was on optimum medical treatment and TLC including extensive exercise.
And I practiced Kegels for about 2 months before surgery.
I credit those for a quick physical recovery, even at the age of 67. And I was dry 8 days after removing the catheter and started having erection 2 days later.View Thread
