I'm in complete agreement with you nvinson. I too had a rising PSA, from 1.5 to 4.5 over three years. I began a regiment of intensive reading/study on the subject. Fortunately, that paid off. The long and the short of it, I learned of the dangers of biopsies of the prostrate, and opted instead for a ultrasound followed by an MRI-S. I learned that most urologist recommend biopsies just based off their training and have done little further research or practice on the identification of prostrate disease, including cancer. Turns out what I had was BPH and the associated enlarged prostrate. I am now engaged in correcting those issues through Natural Chronic Disease Management. I recommend that all men read the book, "Men At Risk: the Dirty Little Secret - Prostate Biopsies Really Do Spread Prostate Cancer Cells," by Ronald E. Wheeler, MD. Prostate Cancer Specialist, and not internalize what some say on these forums about supplements not being helpful or go poke holes in your prostate, the more the better.View Thread
