I witnessed that too Roh and I was horrified. There is not one of us on this earth who has never made a mistake. The OP had the courage to admit to his /her mistakes and was not asking forgiveness but offering an explanation for his possible future action - suicide. Yet he was totally vilified. Yes, he did something wrong but he didn't kill, maim or molest anyone that I am aware of. And he was not asking for sympathy.
Roh, at least you weren't call a slut because you are too stupid to be a whore and earn money. Then I was called fat and ugly. My point is that the intelligence of some of those people is negligible.
I do hope the OP has come to his senses and reconsidered his options. I'm sure he appreciated the few friendly and caring responses he received. Some of those others should be banned.
There are so many things to consider imo. For me I would want my partner to be my best friend. Being able to laugh and cry together, hopefully more laughing. Can you 'fight' without being cruel and hurtful. How important is sex to you? Can you live without certain activities? If your partner refuses. What about frequency?
Of course good communication skills are very important, probably the most important. Can you open up and tell me how you feel about any subject?
I think we would all like to believe that love conquers all but as we've all seen it doesn't. Compromise and communication can keep a basically good relationships intact but sometimes it can be better to cut your losses even when children are involved.
Dennis, hopefully others will comment. I'm kind of messy. Could you live with that? Lol
Lol dear Dennis. Actually she meant keeping an eye on me when I return to work. You're right, they should have called 911. I am going to consult with a personal injury lawyer. I'm also going to fill out the worker's comp paperwork.
Fcl, that is very interesting about the laws there in France. Unfortunately I doubt there is anything like that here.
As always thank you all for your support and compassion.
Thanks fcl. My sister is very good at taking notes and she's going to write up the conversation. My sister was also a second level supervisor so she knows the responsibilities incumbent upon a supervisor.
Some of the conversation was insulting imo. The administrator said 'we'll have to keep an eye on her '. The need to keep an eye on everyone and everything. One of my coworkers, a 36 or 37 year old woman takes 3 different blood pressure medications I don't take any. Her BP isn't stable either. Shouldn't they keep a eye on her? Just saying. The whole thing is weird to me.
I'll make my phone calls and fill out the paperwork and see what happens. I so appreciate the support I receive from all of you. Thank you.
Roh, I have almost 400 hours on the books so there's no problem. It happened at work and my supervisor told my sister that she knew I was having a stroke. AND YOU DIDN'T CALL 911!!!! Plus she should have given my sister worker's comp forms. I called a friend yesterday and she's mailing them to me. I'm thinking about consulting with a personal injury lawyer because of what happened with my supervisor.
I went to the doctor this morning and basically I was just toldto take it easy and keep taking the baby aspirin. Also, I need a big drum roll here - I've lost 8 more pounds! ! That was a great surprise because I wasn't expecting it.
I feel good but still a little bit tired. I got an off work order until the 13th so I'll be getting plenty of rest. My sister said we couldn't go to Vegas. ..lol.
I know this is a difficult subject - religious beliefs and differences cause wars. I'm going to put out an idea - God is perfect. It is human beings who pervert the ideas and ideals of God and religion. Humans are imperfect and their ideals and actions reflect that imo.
Many of my ancestors joined the Mormon Church in the beginning. The proper name of the church is - The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. That name is to let people know that our religion is based on the teachings of Jesus Christ and that we are Christians. Don't use me as an example of a good Mormon because I'm one of those imperfect people. I feel that being Mormon is part of me - bred in the bone so to speak. I could never be anything else. I know that when there are problems with the church they are caused by mere and imperfect humans.
I also feel that any organization that helps people be kind is not to be vilified. We should all be able to look for the good in others no matter their beliefs and respect each other's differences. There are good people everywhere but it is the 'bad' ones who detract from the beauty and joy that can be found.
Some of the kindest and most caring people I know are found here. It matters not at all to me that we don't believe the same. It matters that we have come to care about each other and want to be helpful and a comfort to those in need. To me that is the true definition of God and religion. It is in all of us.
