I would like to share my story of RA and how I cured it. I'm a male basically from south of India. First time I experienced RA when I was 13 years old. It started one day when I was at school and I started experiencing pain in my right knee. In the next few days gradually all the joints from tail bone, neck, jaws , wrists started to swell and in few weeks I was crippled to bed. It was very scaring for my parents that time but I dint understand what was happening to me at that age. As soon as it started to get worsen my parents took me to all types of hospitals and did most of the blood works. All were looking good except the ESR was high. Even the RA factor was negative. Then my parents later took me to manipal hosptial in bangalore,India where a physician suggested to consult a rhuematologist there. After all the analysis the doctor confirmed my condition as sero-negative spondyloarthritis, a sub type of RA. The doctor suggested various drugs for few months which never worked for me and I was on bed. As you all know, there is no medicine that cures RA. Then one day my dad's friend who is an Ayurvedic doctor at Mysore suggested me to drink hot Ginger juice daily morning in empty stomach. The ginger will be around 25-50 grams, nicely smash it and mix it with hot water and sugar for sweetness. since i started having it, all my conditions went away until i again started to experience it when I was 23 years. I had quit drinking Ginger juice few years back as I dint have any pain and also started to smoke. Same condition crippled in bed for four months, thanks for my manager who dint not fire me but gave medical leave . So again I went to a rhuematologist, now with all the latest types of medicines such as sulfasalazine and methotrexate, but even these never worked. So again I started to drink ginger juice every morning and my condition has improved and now I'm back to work and have quit smoking. I have been drinking ginger juice since then and I dont have any pain in my joints and I do not take any medicines and will continue to drink it till rest of my life as I don't want to take risk again
Advice to people with RA from my experince:- 1) Don't smoke or smoke less, as the second time RA was triggered for me as per my belief was from smoking. I had recently started to smoke.
2) Have as much as Ginger you can, that is the only cure from my point of view .
3) Avoid dairy products, pizza's with extra cheese made my right knee to swell big time in 6-8 hours when I got RA for the second time.
4) Once the pain starts to reduce, exercise like hell so that you can become normal quickly.
I'm posting my story because I used to read these blogs 24*7 when I was crippled on bed via mobile and want to share my experience with people with RA, if they could benefit from me. Hate those days when I cried of the pain View Thread
