I was diagnosed with RA at 19 years old and have suffered with it for 19 years now. It progressed very quickly...within 6 months I was fully bed ridden. My case is rare and chronic, and has never gone into remission. I even had a child and it did not go into remission while I was pregnant. It actually got worse and I had to deliver early. Then I almost died because I broke several bones, from the extra Prednisone I was on, along with the depleted calcium from the baby. All the meds caused my intestines to weaken and I ended up tearing my stomach lining and had to have an emergency colostomy. This disease can be very harsh.View Thread
