I am a retired teacher who has had RA for 12 years. In the beginning I had mostly stiffness and pain. The disease progressed quickly though and I now have degenerative spine disease, adult scoliosis and spinal stenosis along with osteorosis. I'm not sure what part RA played in all this. I have had one surgery for fusion in my spine. My biggest problem right now is mobility. I have gone from limping to using a rollator. Steps are impossible. My feet are very misshapen and it is difficult to find shoes. I did find a brand called Prophet that have really helped. I certainly have empathy for all in this community because RA is a daily battle. For me the best therapy has been meditation and the Bible.View Thread
