I had posted originally under depression, but am posting here because I and my son to know what is wrong with him. He went to see a psychiatrist the other day who I believe thinks that my son has schizophrenia because he couldn't get his thoughts and sentences together and he was giving her all the information over the years all together. When he gets upset or angry, he sometimes does this because he doesn't know how to tell the physician what is the matter. He doesn't act this way any other time. He did have some problems over a year ago with depression and he does have anger problems (got this from both sides of the family) and he does get impatient and he will agree to this. Sometime ago he started having problems where he would have a memory of something and it would bother him. When he tried to explain it to anyone, he would say that it was having a "memory attack" for no other easy explanation. Over the past few months, he has been having what some said sounded like panic attacks but according to the psychiatrist, they couldn't be because they only last for a few seconds. When these happen my son gets to where he can't move at all and they happen at random times. He can be doing homework, eating, walking and they can happen. My mother and I have noticed these and my son almost becomes paralyzed, and he says that his heart rate increases, his pupils get large and it seems to hurt him. We desparately need some answers to this and can someone please help us. I don't know where else to turn to.View Thread
