It's only natural to feel that way, especially considering the current events taking place. It also shows how strong your relationship is b/c you felt you could tell him. And he listened. Even though it hurt, not everything we say or feel will be best. But even though we feel alone, we dont have to fight alone. You have shown strength in reaching out. Keep it up! is sharing here or in a journal a relief? I only recently started therapy, and it took awhile, but it helps. it gives me a set time and place that i can relay w/e is bothering/triggering me. I keep a journal cuz it is tough for me to recall what set me off.
and are there any other close souls in your life? i finally told a dear friend of 15 years this past summer b/c her life is crazy and I didnt want to be a burden. she was so open and loving. granted she was worried and a lil upset that i kept it from her, but understanding. people can surprise you.View Thread
This board has always been a place of comfort. It has been quiet, but I am a part of it. Just been busy and heartbroken...I should probably get back on here a lil more and just write...hope everyone is good.View Thread
Update for those lurking safely...I have been going every two weeks and I've made some good progress. It's nice to just talk it out. Still difficult at times, but I bring the journal I keep to help explain. I tend to disassociate from when I fall off the band wagon and have a tough time remembering the cause/effect immediately surrounding it. The triggers become overwhelming and i can't recall what I was really thinking right before and I kind of come out of it with scars...
This may sound a lil odd, but it has helped me so far (3 months Sh free!) but my therapist suggested...TRIGGER_Y...that I put tape around my blades. I generally keep to a few I have and one time I forgot, went to use it and because of the layers of electric tape, I decided it wasnt worth the work lol and focused on breathing.
just one little thing i thought i would share.View Thread
