My list:
- New little niece arrived earlier this week- she's adorable
- Made it through several weeks of insanity at work- things calming down a bit now
- Sunshine- haven't had an abundance of it for a while now
- Spent sometime outside yesterday working in the yard- it had been way too long. The outdoors are very soothing and rejuvenating for me.

For the department who wanted me to appear in a video, I convinced them it would be better for someone else to do it. For one of the photos I simply cropped a picture with my family from a few years back- so it was just me (not exactly what they were looking for, but I don't care). I simply refused flat out on one that wants to put all of our pictures on the website...not going to happen. But this last one...I don't think I can get out of it. And apparently I can't just have someone that I know and trust take the picture it has be to "their" photographer. Really!?!
I want to scream. I have enough going on in my life. I really do not need to be dealing with all of this as well. I wish they would all just let it go and leave me alone. What is so important about a stupid picture? Grrr!

Another thing to remember is that part of being well is regularly implementing the self care skills you have learned in therapy. Don't put so much pressure on yourself to always be here that when there are times that you simply aren't able to or other life demands prevent it- that you are riddled with guilt. You have to take good care of yourself in order to be in a position to best help others. It is a balancing act. Don't worry about this too much Mary. For you it will come quite naturally.

2. It's been warm and beautiful here for a few days between storms. Gives me hope that spring might actually come.
3. I passed my last comprehensive exam..."just" my dissertation left now. I might finish this degree after all:)
4. Took the day off work to get somethings done... yeah long weekends!
5. Good coping skills that help me deal with things that in the past would have sent me into an uncontrolled tail spin.
6. Some hope in the future that I have lacked at times.
7. Being able to come up with 6 (or 7) good things in my life todayView Thread
