I have had mild itching and gential claminess constantly since my initial OB. I believe it is prodromal but I'm puzzled about why the symptoms are so constant. I notice it daily and the symptoms seems to be slightly worse if I stop the medication.
Any insights? Are any medications more effective at reducing prodromes?View Thread

Given that my symptoms went a month without treatment is this normal or should I see better results from the medication? Am I likely to benefit from asking to extend my prescription or is a 10 day dosage going to give me all the benefits I can get from the med?View Thread

My gf called me up a few days after she tested pos and said she was sad and mad. That's where she should have been. We talked it over and now she has accepted it. If he continues to run from you, then it's his loss. But should reach out to you, be patient with him. Understand that he has to work through this his own way.View Thread

OK, just how contagious is HSV-2? I understand it can be transmitted through viral shedding at any time, but are we talking lottery chances here or is this something that happens to a lot of people "And yes, YOU could be one of them!"
How effective is the medication (daily preventive or just during outbreaks) at preventing transmission? Lots, only some, or you're taking a big risk there buddy!
For two people who are both +, is there a risk of triggering an outbreak or making the infection worse through sex (particularly during an outbreak)? I have it on my thighs and stomach so unless we're talking a latex space suit, "protection" is pretty pointless.
How easy is it to spread the virus to different parts of my own body through touching or scratching lesions (non-fluid filled bumps in my case)?
And very importantly: My children like to wear my t-shirts and sleep in my bed. What are the risks that they can become infected from unwashed clothing or bed lenins?
Thanks for your help!View Thread
