So maybe just getting over the hump as to asking her for marriage would be the challenge as I am confident she would jump at the chance. I am not being arrogant with that statement btw. I just know.
It's also that I am simply a very structured individual and have a set way in my life. I am not fond of change and taking chances. That is just my personality I guess ?
So the other part of your question deals with benefits. Being single and working has one drawback. Uncle Sam has his way with you come tax time. ( no benefit there ) I guess doing your own thing when you want to do it is a benefit.
So I guess the bottom line is there are pros and cons to each way of life, and I have experienced both. I was once involved with a woman for an extended period of time, and yes we both said " I love you " to each other. Well she always stated to me " s%*t or get off the pot " She never understood the way I thought I guess ?, but I should have been more forthcoming to her. My fault !
Anyway, life goes on and so do I, thankfully.View Thread

I can understand the anxiety that some feel with online dating as I have experienced it as well, but the true measuring stick is the FIRST meeting, that is the defining moment and you can always tell if there is a spark or not ?
A clingy person is just that. They have to be in the know at all times, and can never give you an inch of space, which we all need I feel. I have experienced that as well and it can be a turn off in a relationship.View Thread

I come and lurk here a few times a week and if there is a subject I can relate to I generally post.
