Actually, you may get lucky. The condition is so strange it might arouse all kinds of curiosity at the leading Medical Institutions like John's Hopkins, Shands, Mayo, Cleveland Clinic, Colombia Presbyterian, Massachusetts General, Rehabilitation of Chicago. You have NOTHING to lose by putting yourself out there.
Would you rather get tough or live with this for as long as you live ? I went through something very weird as well and I got the rolling eyes, the looks, the recommendation that I see a shrink. I told them all to go to hell and I started calling Hospitals. Mayo took me in a nano second and I am now cured.
If this was not a family board I would post the letter I sent to all the nay sayers.
I have been blessed and cursed. I will be 60 in September and my facial skin looks 30. No hint of a wrinkle, blemish, spots.I am 100% Irish so I have very light, sensitive skin.I always use sunscreen and NEVER sit in the sun.
My body skin is very dry, I use Dove cream oil which works well. However, in the last few years I have noticed my body skin has developed small bumps, which I hate. I have no idea what to do about them.
I hate the bumps on my stomach which are large and hard. I also have a large varicose vain across my stomach, which I HATE.
I had to have a Hysterectomy in my 30's due to Hemorrhaging. I have never taken any kind of Hormone Replacement Therapy, nor have I ever had any symptoms most Women suffer through with Menopause. I've wondered if this is what caused the bumps on my body skin ?
I've recently developed coarse white hairs on my chin which are just HORRIBLE. I was told they could not be lasered, so I have been shaving them, which really does not work. I am having a very difficult time with the idea of turning 60, I feel 30.
About a year ago I had a lump on my nose. I went to the Dermatologist and he insisted we do a biopsy, which we did.
About a week later, the Doctor called me and said the biopsy was incredible. He said the biopsy indicated I had Sarcoidosis, he said he did not believe it so he ran it again, still Sarcoidosis. I went that day for a chest x-ray which was perfect.
A couple of months later I had to have surgery at MD Anderson Hospital on a gland in my neck. I told the doctor about the Sarcoidosis and he laughed and said NO WAY. Since that time, my stomach is covered with small lumps and the area under my breasts is now developing the lumps, they look like small tumors. What should I do ?View Thread
